Ok so I've been back a little bit over the last years with spurts of activity .... but it has come to my attention a new style or theme which I believe is contributing to less new members and less activity ....

VOTING ....

the votes are happening and coming in gradually this isn't a scheme or plot on how to improve activity or volume of votes...

It is however an observation of the votes I am seeing .... it now seems to be cool to pick a verse to pieces and only comment on the negative bits (I am guilty of this too) myself and HVK where talking about it earlier and it seems to be everyone doing it ....

Now thinking about this from a new persons perspective this is ver demoralising for them and for the more experienced battlers out there if all we are reading and seeing are ....

Played concept forced rhymes poor execution etc etc etc the list goes on ....

How about we start voting on the reason why someone won the battle not voting on who was the least poor of the two ....

Let's flip it on it's head and actually go out there and push some positivity into our expos and votes ...

For instance in a 8 bar battle if you didn't like 7 of them but did like 1 then tell them the one you liked ....

This then give them an idea of what the voters looking for and can hopefully help them with there next verse ... instead of pulling the verse apart and pointing out what you didn't like which is different for everyone and hen leaves the battler in confusion as to which way To go next ...

Let's pull that positivity out a bit more bump the rating a bit more yall vote on tracks and cypher with 8+'s yet battle verses are lucky to get 6-7's round here at the moment ....

I for one am going to try practice what I am preaching and start voting according to what I liked and try not to mention what I didn't like ...

Hopefully this will help breed positivity and will encourage people to battle more as if your dropping bars on bars to just have people constantly tell you what they don't like about your verses why bother at all .... and that's what I think is happening people are getting put off due to all the negativity around the votes they get ....
