No one needs em, but discrediting the insanely beneficial nature of perspective shifting substances has always been stupid to me. Not that you do that, good topic though.
Also, meditating under the effects of cannabis is quite great.

To be a bit more serious than I was in my last post:
I agree that perspective-shifting substances can be immensely beneficial and interesting. My only qualm is that I think it could be like giving a fat type 2 diabetic metformin instead of telling him to eat right and exercise. Brains are weird, and they can do a lot of really crazy and interesting shit without help from substances.
