I'm not really feeling the forcing new members to battle in the unranked arena, but I'm too lazy to articulate why at the moment. Some of the other ideas are being worked on already behind the scenes. I made a similar thread not too long ago titled "How come we don't welcome new members" and fielded similar ideas and solutions on how best to retain new members. One of the things I'm working on is tutorials on how to battle, vote, etc..which will go into voting etiquette, but they're more of an explanation of how the Letsbeef site modules work and a bit about the rules rather than a presumption that every newcomer needs to "learn how to battle or how to vote." That's not the kind of approach I think we need to be taking. I hate to sound like a broken record so I'll just cut this comment short. Anyway...carry on.
