Growing up on the West Coast, I've got to say West Coast.

They brought fucking classics man.
That's not to say I don't give mad props to the East Coast and most of my favorite rappers are from there but there's just something about Cali beats and lyrics that give you a different feeling. I just couldn't really identify with Big L spitting about 139 & Lenox, Nas spitting about Queensbridge, Jay talking about Marcy, etc. I understand poverty especially coming from the 3rd World but I just didn't know those blocks or those areas like that.

I was just listening to Shook Ones lol
