I think many of us suffer from some form of anxiety when we have an open battle and even if/when we change the coding, the anxiety will just take a different form. Right now, we're anxious because we have no idea how staff are voting. When we make all votes/comments concealed, that will just increase and we may have no clue how ANYONE has voted until the battle has closed. You wouldn't even know if someone has hate voted you and rated you a 1 and left a shitty ass comment until the battle has completed and it has affected the results. Right now, you can see it right a way and immediately report it/get it removed. From a staff perspective, having to deal with a lot of hate vote claims AFTER THE FACT (battle has closed) and possibly reviewing battles with the prospect of overturning the results will be much more of a pain in the ass than it is now. Yes, making all votes/comments concealed will get rid of the possibility of people being swayed by previous comments/votes, but I have a feeling if will create a new set of problems and it won't get rid of the anxiety/jitters that people generally feel when they have an open battle with undetermined results.
