I'll simplify it as much as I can
You take the best players from Germany, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, etc
Throw them into the U.S.
And have them play against teams in the U.S. that are comprised similarly ie; the best of the best from around the world
Well if you're somebody in the U.S. and you defeat a team that has the 3 best players from Brazil, who else is there to beat in Brazil? You just beat their 3 best players
hence why NBA players can call themselves World Champions
the geographic location doesn't have anything to do with it when players from around the world are accepted...the sport is based in the U.S... there's 30 franchises based on 30 U.S. cities because here's where the sport started. If somebody in China thinks they have what it takes to ball, U.S. players don't go to China to prove themselves, the Chinese come here
The logic you posted above just clarifies that the NBA is an American sport played in North America but nowhere in that logic is my logic of worldwide acceptance and the best of the world playing in the NBA debunked.
