There tons of artist who can spit some shit frees and then theres others he say there better then others but cant free for shit or dont even try to. When you say that you rap and someone tells you to spit something and all you have is written then thats just plain out boring. Being a true Rapper imo is about being versatile. No offense, but this is piss poor logic. I do not, and cannot freestyle to save my life. I am, however, an excellent writer, and have the ability to ride a beat naturally. Being an emcee is an encompassing of the ability to portray hip-hop in a form natural, and individualized to one's self. Whether that be freestyling, or writing. What you're implying is that all writtens are boring, and that isn't the case. I get a LOT of "props" from local rappers/freestylers for my ability to write.(Something which they feel they lack in.) And these guy are far from wack. It's a matter of mutual respect for both aspects of the craft.
