I think battle rap in general took a bit of a hit. People outgrow the site/battle rap and naturally there wasn't really enough of a new generation to fill the gap. Battles aren't really worth the effort if only 3 people are seeing them, naturally people are gonna just stop or not stick around. I feel like trolling almost kept the site somewhat active for a time if anything lol.
