FVC restoration?
 

TLDR:
vote on if fvc should come back.


my thoughts:
i know there's a lot of garbage verses being dropped in the arena, but when we talk about membership, and the site being dead, the more votes people receive on their battle, the more likely they'll be to keep battling. (i'm excluding those crazy ass freestylers with 10,000 battles)

so i'm askin if ya'll think it would be good to set up a fvc again, with the goal of just making sure every battle getting more than just 3 votes. in the past the fvc has been a group of strong battlers, who were respected for their unbiased and educated votes, but i think what i'm talking about here would just be a group of individuals who were willing to drop as many votes as possible, similar to how hvk wanted to run it.

also, X tried to help bring incentive to voting with the badge, but end of the day, that shit was a flop, and i think the stronger incentive would be joining the fvc.

Reason:
The entire concept of the FVC is to have well versed MC's giving educated votes on battles, to help others correct their battling errors and improve their craft. Currently, the talented MC's of LB no longer log in. Those who do log in and battle/active in the arena's certainly aren't at the level required to be in the FVC.

Plus the overall level of site activity is at a major low.

To bring it back now, would be only for the sake of having an FVC rather than having one that is actually operating properly.

If reasoning is there are so many open battles etc... then just go and vote on them. Don't need to water down the FVC just for the sake of having it.

Co-Sign 100% Doesn't make sense atm.

I was in it in the past so I'd be down but it's whatever. What would be the actual vetting process though?

for this version i'm proposing, it would just be an average battler willing to vote frequently. it has been run this way before, see HVK or KIWI runs, but none the less, if people voted for it to be about quality, i'd assume one of the mods would run it and they'd chose a select group they thought were educated enough to be in the fvc. there's usually a recruitment thread.

At this point it doesn't make sense to have 1 or 2 members elevated to FVC Status / have the burden of voting on every battle.


At the end of this month I'm planning on awarding the Top Voters of the Season and hopefully that gets people interested in voting more. I've also seen more people voting lately which is freaking great.

There will be more people in the FVC than people actually battling lmao

I can type the most convincing votes and get into the FVC while being the worst voter of all time.

Please let this entire idea die for good.
