In rap forums all across the internet i always see people arguing about whether he’s good or not. I see a lot of people saying he’s “corny” but admitting his technical proficiencies in his schemes, wordplay and storytelling.

What ion understand is people that think that a rapper (I.e Tech N9ne and Hopsin) can’t make songs in different sub genres, like political rap and horrorcore. It’s as if they don’t understand that rap is a form on entertainment, and that they can deliver said entertainment all they want. No one questions when Eminem makes weird shit and turns around and makes political tracks... but it’s bad when a underground artist does it? Shit don’t make no fucking sense.


Even if it does contradict itself to rap about killing people n then turn around and tell people to look at the greater good, society and media does it all the time.

Movies are a great example of this.

They’ll make a movie full of violence and blood but it will still have meaning and purpose behind it.

Video games as well.


What’s your opinion on this?

I liked hopsin but when he said " Did the man who invented college go to college? Hmmm Okay then" I was done. Some of the Ill minds are classics though. But yeah, I agree with you, people just like to complain.

Is he wrong though? People judge people by their level of education, ignoring those who clearly have smart minds but don’t agree with the structure of education. Educational System is flawed, and denying that would be foolish.

He has some good songs but is ridiculously lame outside of those.

I don't like Eminem's music which by default means I don't like Hopsin's but I do like Dizzy Wright who was signed to him back in the day.
