Upcoming Tournaments
 

I haven't ran any tournaments in a while due to the amount of oifficial tournaments ongoing (and my participation in such tournaments) but I'm ramping up to begin running them again. I have a few forum tournaments planned and maybe even a small crew battle type tournament in a few months. I figured this would be a good excuse to rack up some points for Illmania and that a small crew battle tournament would be a good trial run so all our new crews can get their feet wet. I haven't bothered talking to @EtH but perhaps winning some of these forum tournaments could be worth 5 points or something? Who knows. Anyways, there is a point to this rambling. Here's some of what I am planning. I was hoping to run at least one tournament a month leading up to Illmania to retain participants and boost points.

FEBRUARY: CIRCLE JERKERS - this will be a 8 man, 3 round tournament similar to BRAYNE FARTCES. It will be simple two syllable schemes focused on complimentary ROUNDS bars. Should be fun.

MARCH: BRAYNE MATTER 2 - this will be a 8 man single round event centered around gun bars but with a surprise twist; I am choosing the weapons.

APRIL: GANG BANGERZ - this will be the small, 2 round crew battle tournament IF we can get all 4 crews to have enough participants. I was going to provide the schemes and have the verses focus solely on crew-related personals to really get things hot for Illmania. Thought maybe winning this crew battle could get a decent point reward, like 50 points? Could turn things around right before Illmania or seal the deal for the stongest crew.


This is just a rough idea for now, and I am sort of seeking approval from @EtH as I'd like for these 3 events to build the crews up for Illmania.

Vote on which events you'd like to see. Discuss in the comments with any ideas you have as well.

Going with the first 2. I don’t really wana see the hype of crew battles for Illmania get taken down immensely by basically having a pre-illmania crew battle. First 2 can be fun though and again a good way to provide structure to basic battle drops.

You got a good point about the crew battle. Just was trying to reinforce the crew mentality before Illmania started.

Yeah, I mean an argument can be made either way for it.

In the end, I think you're right. Maybe a different tournament/event with just Illmania members exclusively would be better. The only reason I want a "test run" crew battle is I've never done one before and I know I'm not the only one.

The only thing is we already have 497 tournaments in the lead up to Illmania and if I hand out additional points for more, whats the point in regular battling?

All the battles will be just the regular one point; winning would be like 5 at the most?

I was planning on running these tournaments anyway, regardless of Illmania. Was just tryna piggyback the hype and make some sort of mutally beneficial deal out of it.

I went with the latter two. Complimentary ROUNDS bars seems like two gimmicks mashed together when they shouldn't be. I'd probably participate in it if it happened, though. The other two sound dope.
