Posting Personal Info Rule Clarification

OK. There seems to be some misunderstanding about this rule and I'm clarifying it here so we have a point of referral moving forwards.

Posting personal information about a user from an outside source is a bannable offence. This is not applicable to information the user themselves has shared on this site previously. For example if I posted that my name was Max Beef in the forums and then someone restated that that would not be a bannable offence. However if that information was found off of Letsbeef and then used on the forums that would be a bannable offence. The same applies to photos, videos, social media accounts etc.

So a YouTube video of someone... that has happened numerous times.

So if I post a dysfunctional/stricc battle video before they post it here, is that bannable?

Of course not. It's only an issue when it directly affects Nicholas. Lol.

Nick you're a fucking joke.

This coming from the guy who posted his own phone number in a battle.

If checkin old battles, up to this point, there's always personals in good battles. Taking someone's dirt and turning it into bars is what battlings all about. Maybe someone posted their info on LB or another social platform, but who's to know?

There's a difference between doxxing and using readily available information. One should be discrete when posting info online.

Releasing someone's address or phone number is different though. That could be bannable. But would we ban someone for posting their own information? As that info could be used again.

Another issue, what if battler A releases info on FB. Then battler B brings it up in lb forums. Where battler C reads it then uses it in an upcoming battle. Which battler is banned.. b, c or both?

Wasn't Pugz and co. trying to be more "social-media" centered that's why the rule for posting battle links was dissolved. I'm sorry but this just seems like a witch hunt, where if you didn't post your phone number or name and have social media accounts under said name then you wouldn't be posting this thread.

"Here's this thing that's not a rule, but, I'm calling it a rule now, because it has directly affected me personally." -Nicholas, probably.

There’s literally not 1 single admin that logs in.

We burned the rule books.
