What do you consider an effective personal?
Does it have to be true in order to be effective?
How much weight do you give it if you are not sure whether or not it is true?

Personals should definitely be true. I'd discount a personal a great deal if it were untrue but presented as if it were.

It's kind of difficult to get personal on LB if you haven't kept up with the forums & rivalries...almost nobody uses their actual photo, or posts social media links, so all you have on a guy is their name, hometown, and crew name, most of the time...that's enough ammo for me, but sometimes a name isn't easy to think of disses for, such as my recent battle with Aggo..I couldn't think of shit, so I googled it & luckily there was a Game of Thrones character named Aggo, so I built my theme around that...elves, hobbits, and wizards, fuck it! Lol

Back when I first came on here and the track section was thriving and beefs and disses were a regular, we dug dirt up on each other deep.From facebook to if you googled your opponents name and nothing showed up.We used to do forums with the dirt whatever to degrade the other.Even if you found out someones name and it was a name you knew they wouldn't want people knowing in a battle.I dug deep to find out Mic Checks real name was Frances P***.I used it and then others used it against him.I found out Mugzz name was Everett B****** which I used.But it got to a point when people started using pics of Kids and stuff like that which I feel crosses a personal line.I do believe staff made things from personal Facebooks and stuff like that a bannable offense.I think personals are a good thing to use as long as its not about kids or something of that nature.Fake personals don't hold as much weight.

For personals to really sting there has to be some negative or embarrassing quality to the personal information. They cheater on a battle, they lost to someone who sucks, they took their shirt off and lip synced fett wap. Something like that.

In the past I noticed the majority of people don't care whether the personal is true or not.. It's about how it's presented for a lot of people.

Unless the shit happened here, how can you prove it's true if you can't link to personal info or pages on other sites? Personals hit harder if theyre true but the only shit that stands up too much around here is based on stuff that happened in the forums, chatbox, or prior battles.
