X took back ownership of the site
Posting this because X's comments in the chatbox will probably get buried, and I know there's people that log on like once a month just to see whats up.
So I guess X will keep us posted. Don't give up yet ya'll |

saw this thread in the main forum page and figured it was esso trying to get votes on his shit
this is actually a good development. I'm not holding my breath but at least there's the potential for improvement now |
"I started the site with Pseudo Nim and V back in 2005.. Pseudo was the main programmer on the backend system (that handled all the logic for battling, ranking etc), I did the graphics and user interface. Around 2012 V and I transferred ownership of the site to Pseudo Nim to focus on another business venture. I'm acquiring 100% ownership of the site back from Pseudo.
Since then my programming skills have improved so my goal is to try and revamp the site fully myself, I want to focus it back on the battling aspects and make battling the main focus. From a technology standpoint, I wanna get rid of the Flash-based recorder and make an HTML5 based recorder that will work on mobile. I know text battling is a big part of the site too (even more popular than audio) so thinking how we can make that experience good on mobile devices Originally we wanted to make money from the site, so we put ads and the exclusive membership etc.. but I'm not trying to focus on making money through the site. If it can make enough to cover it's own costs that's good, the server fees are quite significant.. and theres like 400 gigs of battle history on the site. I really just want to make the audio and text battling experience good again and work on mobile" - X in chat |
The revival begins.

This isn't a move I expected since ive always been critical to x about his lack of focus on the site.
His directions and plans seem more focused and realistic than "v4" ever dod so this is looking like the best possible outcome. Rule was a great choice but it required him going deep to hire workers for the site. X comes with more experience in that field and he's got enough experience in the current members that he doesn't need to have been actually active for years. |
Yessir..

to what Bleu said..
ehh..I'm not so sure he should be focused on optimizing the site for mobile. of course that would be great. but whats wrong with the site is the outdated look and outdated vbulletin forum..nobody's going to come here if it looks the same way it did when they Googled 'rap battling' 10 years ago. A complete overhaul is necessary, optimizing the site after this change in appearance would just be the icing on the cake imo |

Honestly you wanting to remain involved is only a huge negative to plan moving forward. |
