what im suggesting is selling the site to somebody thats passionate for rap battling, understands what we want, knows how to market this shit, and could get a team of coders to overhaul the site

i don't think we want anything like FlyHipHop, we just want a 'refreshed' LB. a completely different theme and im not talking about skinning the blue with red and black. im talking about doing this site justice with a proper template of its own

and then of course fixing everything from cyphers to crew battles to w/e

adding a couple neat features here or there..like maybe a currency feature where you buy shit like inbox space, bigger avatars, colored username. & you earn the currency by posting in the forums. lil incentives like that can go a long way in bringing the site's activity up.

A clear/concise donation bar that shows the money raised and the goal. & as long as everyone knows the money is going towards bettering the site everything should be all good

you need someone who's business savy, not a battle rap fan..you dont need someone who's going to be on the actual site, you need someone to stay behind the scenes and make business decisions..someone who is looking to profit from this

I disagree. I think something more like FHH is what we need with the focus not just on battling but all aspects of hip hop culture. Major artist news, the ability to upload mix tapes and all the features that were promised for v4 that never came need to be implemented. As well as a new, more modern skin.

When v3 was introduced it was exactly what we wanted from v2 incorporated in a creative way. Organized perfectly. FlyHipHop was so different and that's why it flopped. Conceptually it was dope but it wasn't implemented how we wanted it to be organized. That's what we want with v4. A fresh spin on what we have now, and a few MAJOR features introduced. Not just bs plugins and modules or whatever

That's what FHH was. It was LB rewritten from scratch with new features and shit added on to it. It never even made it out of beta though because the userbase shit all over it. Had they not we might not be having this conversation right now because the site would have already gotten a lot of the reworking it needed instead of staying stagnant.
