Track Section Ideas and Suggestions:

As the new track moderator, I was wondering what you guys thought may bring more life to the track section, and make it a more appealing side of the site for its users. With that said, I started this thread for ideas, and suggestions for the site's track section. So, drop your ideas below, but, please, keep them reasonable.

how bout a section for peeps w/ unfinished tracks to get some feed before they publish it to the track section..like the unranked arena for text & audio. I.e. to get better or whatever it might be..
In sayin that perhaps their should be more incentive for exclusive members who upload tracks that do well.
two cents yalla

- a built-in audio player for the homepage..the homepage itself is overwhelming, you have too much going on..less is more in regards to landing pages..top crews, top hoods, hottest cyphers, etc are not needed as all of that info is pointless as the site currently stands

- reach out to other sites similar to letsbeef, and set up track battles..would help with networking with other artists/producers online

- gfx artists provide cover art for the winners of any track competition we have here..then promote the cover art/track through social media platforms to give recognition to both artists as well as the site

- use the social media platforms to set up/host track competitions outside of LetsBeef..this will bring interest to the site and potentially new members..plus I'm sick of hearing the same four people put out music

- remove the rating system

How much control do you actually have over the track section?

Can you delete rates and comments?
Can you delete tracks?

Like insupp said. Maybe some sort of incentive for people that want to get into tracks but just dont want to get ripped into because its their first one.

Requires coding, probably not something that would be a reasonable change.

Bolded: These are things that can be done fairly easily, and are really solid ideas for the track section. I'll bring these things up, and get started a little on them myself.

Italicized: A.) We don't really have a ton of gfx heads outside of V3numb, and you have to understand, they have to make a little scratch themselves, for the most part. It's difficult to get free work that consistently. That being said, Noble is speaking with V3numb about holding a gfx contest for the cover of the next LB mixtape. b.) The rating system is something I'd like to get rid of as well, but, again, you run into the issue of coding.

I will most DEFINITELY be holding more competitions for the track section. As for beef, that's on the track makers.

Possibly a starters guide, teaching how to mix/master tracks. Ways to utilize a beat more, I know I could use some help in a lot of categories. I'm heavily interested in tracks but just don't got all my apples in the basket yet.

This could be cool. Perhaps a master post of recording program tutorials, all in one place in a thread.

if you're afraid to hear the truth, stick to text battling and the buddy system..theres no need for a platform for unfinished music..keep that shit to yourself and release it when its finished

as for the gfx response..im sorry but the only two people worthy of payment are chainz and akrid arts, and neither are active on here (coincidence?)..i understand wanting to make money from your craft, but you need to have something worth paying for, and no one here has that..student knows the basics, as does venumb..but they aren't full-time graphic designers who have ends to meet, they own photoshop..and they aren't going to make any money off anyone on letsbeef - lets be real, have you seen ILL4's new mixtape cover? or MGs? they made that shit in MS paint..thats not your target market..the goal should be to get your graphics out there so people who DO pay, will see them and contact you..this is business 101

Lol that's exactly what my job is, I'm a full-time Graphic Designer but I don't do sigs and abstract art, I mostly deal with printed material and promotional items, branding, personal requests, etc.

Just thought I'd clarify that up BUT I don't have time to really help out graphic-wise so that might has well be true.
