Official Top Ten Tournament (January)
 

At the end of each month I will be hosting a Top Ten tournament starting on the fifth of each month.The sender has exactly two days to send to their opponent, the responder has exactly two days to respond, or they will be disqualified. Every round, the higher seed sends to the lower seed.

- For the first round, the sender has to send by the 7th and the responder has to respond by the 9th.

- For the second round, the sender has to send by the 12th, the responder has to respond by the 14th.

- For the third round, the sender has to send by the 17th, the responder has to respond by the 19th.

- The championship match starts on the 21st. For this round, the sender has to send by the 23rd and the responder has to respond by the 25th. I advise the senders to wait to send their verse on the day of the deadline just to even the odds if they can.

*The same rules for the GC Tournaments apply here except these battles will be only 8 lines (4 bars).

- Winner of 1 vs 10 match faces off against winner in the 2nd round with the highest seed.

- The winner in the 2nd round with the lowest seed gets a bye.

*It's confirmed. The Grand Prize the Champion will receive are 1 large emcee item, 1 small emcee item, & 20 credits.

@MaCc and @Craps I got too much on to take part this month , give macc a bye to next round as I am doing another tourney already , as well as the lbt and going for #1 this month so will be too much .

That's perfectly fine. @MaCc what ever u have written for steve just save it till he drops an open or you can send as you please. If you send by your deadline tho and he responds by his, the winner will move on to the next round. The choice is your own.

Now the sender pretty much HAS TO send unless the responder tells me that he won't be participating before the tournament starts, but as I already said, if MaCc still wanted to send maybe not wanting to have his bars wasted mainly on a nameplay basis, he could, and if steve happened to respond by the 7th and wins, he'd advance to the next round and MaCc would be eliminated. It would be smart if MaCc waited till after the deadline to send, and it would have been better for steve if I had addressed this earlier and he hadn't said a word about it, because he could have advanced if MaCc happened to not send, but MaCc already stated he was participating in this, so that pretty much eliminates everything I just said. Lol. Just for future reference tho.

Also, senders MUST post the link to this thread after they send their verse to their opponent BEFORE THE DEADLINE or they will be disqualified.

@NOBLE @Student @Pugz @RULE @Row wth are the awards on this? The tourney starts tomorrow. People are interested, just ain't posting to this thread. It should get live once the awards for this get announced.

Like the idea, this month I'm out though...working on too much outside of LB

So @O_G and @MaCc advances to the second round. Either @O_G will be facing me or @SuperGuy and @MaCc will be facing either @CoRe sOuL or @RipThaRappa in the subsequent round.

@Akaap thanks for letting me know this ahead of time. Makes it less of a pain on me and the participants.

I'm not sure who gave the okay for this or said it was "official," but you shouldn't tell people they'll be receiving an award without staff sponsorship. This isn't something we'd be willing to sponsor every month for several reasons: 1) We relegate forum tourneys to the off months of the Text or Audio Tournament schedules. If you're planning on running a forum tourney (with staff sponsorship), make sure it doesn't conflict with the months that official Text tournaments take place (if it's a Text forum tourney) or the months that official Audio tournaments take place (if it's an Audio forum tourney). The reason is because we don't want too many simultaneous tournaments running at once, especially with the limited amount of members we have right now. It just increases the amount of no-shows when people sign up for multiple tourneys they can't commit to, and it also cheapens the value of a tournament win/prize when there are too many (think supply and demand).
