I take it upon myself ....
To put some work into these voters on here who really haven't got a clue just recently I've seen more and more ridiculous votes ....
What I'd like to do is set up a school if you like for these voters and all the 0vp voters out there to earn back there voting power so if the like of @NOBLE @Pugz @DJ Denton @RULE Would be so kind to either pm me the list of people with 0vp or post it in here I can set in place a school to get there voting back upto to scratch .... I won't explain in full my plans yet but the general vibe would be something like A 4week proving ground upon which they must achieve a standard of voting that indicates they are actually getting what they are reading .... Too enable this I shall be using tutorials on verse made by the likes of rule in his threads to highlight what they should be looking for in a verse .... And also with the admins authority upon showing and achieving there voting capabilities then we shall move there VP back up .... It would also be nice if that all the mods who are actively changing people's vp to 0 could PM those people telling them They have and re-directing them to my "SCHOOL OF VP" thread once made .... What are your thoughts people ... @Just C @Paperclip @Mayneak @ILLoKWENT @2FUEL @Manhattan |
I think it won't matter. Most bad voters are just people in a rush for credits and don't give a toss if they have low or no vp.
Its also experienced based too. I used to be terrible at text and my voting was naturally the same. As I've improved so has my voting. You have to remember a vote is a personal choice too. You coukd have the best wordplay, metas and multis but if someone prefers the other guys verse then thats that. |
I know what your saying Saxx but something is better than nothing and if they have 0vp they shouldn't be able to get credits I don't think !!!!

well fuck you too @X-Calibur :(

Yeah its a tough call...

Unless some one is voting things like 10-1 I don't see why every one dont has high vp.

People like that don't deserve VP as they aren't putting in to the community of battling to help others .... |
I think you starting a school to help educate people on proper voting is a great idea. We should also have an avenue for people who's vp has been lowered to have a chance at getting it back up. However, there are a few things to consider:
1) Some people set up multi accounts seemingly for the sole purpose of trading votes with their friends and crew mates. Letting people know automatically that their vp has been lowered either through this PM'ed list which you suggest or some other means would mean some people who cheat and plan to continue cheating in this way simply make a new account which might not be noticed right away and starts off at full vp. 2) Everyone will now know who has 0 vp. Even if you were the only one who is PM'ed this list, they can extrapolate that someone must have 0vp when they see that they're participating in your school. For the same reason mentioned above and for other reasons involving privacy, we DON'T want everyone knowing who has 0 vp and it is something that should be kept discreet because it would only make cheating and voting conspiracy easier if that were the case. As it stands right now, anyone can PM any member of staff about their vp and we will let them know privately. I've seen some people make threads asking what their vp is and a mod lets them know right there. If they ask to get it raised, we'll start monitoring their votes. Each person has a right to know what their vp is, but other people do not necessarily have a right to know what your vp is, that's why when people ask me, I tell them privately. What you're offering is something that a staff member SHOULD be doing imo. We can see everyone's votes and vp so that cuts out the middle man stuff of PM'ing a list. I've done that a few times in the past with the V.A.T tournaments. Here's a sample of one of the vote battles I set up through this tourney: (http://www.letsbeef.com/forums/showt...ighlight=V.A.T) I didn't let people know right away what their vp was and I let other people who already had full vp participate because people with 0 vp aren't the only ones who can benefit from voter education , so everyone involved didn't necessarily have 0 vp, but anyone who suspects their vp had been lowered was invited to participate, and in the end, some got their vp restored as a result. When I helped form the new FVC, I started it off with that same model of competitive voting. I'm just letting you know how I've tried to tackle the problem in the past and why I went about it the way I did. I'm actually planning a new voter program that will involve the prospect of vp restoration this coming month. It won't be exactly like the VP School you're planning. Neither will it be like the V.A.T tournaments of the past, but it'll be towards the same goal. To sum it up, I think this school you're setting up is a great idea and if you start it, your efforts won't go unnoticed. However, I would encourage you to try to do it without having a list of 0vp voters to inform and invite. I'm not comfortable with that part due to what I've mentioned above. If you set this thing up though, I will personally monitor the program and restore whoever's vp needs to be restored. @X-Calibur |
lol, i think this is great tho, not only has there been a decline in voting activity but also will always have that bunch throwing out uneducated and expo'd votes
awesome idea and would love to see it implemented, kinda a fresh thing you got going on |
