U.S. to invade & attack Syria

I'm not Syrian or middle eastern, but this news sickens me.

we've made allegations that the Syrian government used chemical weapons to kill 1,300 of their own people the other day in this civil war & they're trying to cover it up

this could very well be true, but this is looking a lot like George Bush claiming Iraq had WMD and they didn't have any. it looks to me as if we're invading a country under a false pretense, or using a justified pretense for unjustified reasons in order to get closer to another country that has something we want. maybe a resource in Syria, maybe to set up democracy, or maybe it could be about waving our dicks to Russia

Russia is very much against us invading Syria

but if you know anything about who runs the world you know Europeans are the shot callers and the U.S. is the E.U.'s goon

so of course we're proceeding to do what we want with the likes of France & the UK giving us their full support

the U.S. is a war mongering, terrorist-like country. idc what ya'll say and i know this'll lead to political discussions and some counter-arguments from people that swear the U.S. is a fairytale utopian country out of a Disney movie but not everything is as it appears.

I agree w/ @Godbody - I'm willing to bet there's no ACTUAL reason for us to get involved. Sometimes my country makes me sick, but we have great cheese steaks. So I can't complain.

The evidence looks pretty conclusive, I support the advance to go to war with Syria. BUT It's hypocritical since the U.S are bombing civilians in Yemen with drones and double-taps regularly.

If it pops off... Syria gonna get this work. Guess I better suit up

If you think this is a conspiracy you're mental, it's well known Syria has been using chemical weapons on it's own people. This is why they have been stalling U.N inspection for so long so they can clean up the evidence.

Pulse is known for his conspiracy B.S.

Its not about it being a conspiracy

Its the fact that the U.S. walks around like we're the best shit to happen since water and we poke our noses everywhere as if its the U.S.'s duty to police the entire world

there's 200 countries, many of them very capable of handling the situations we involve ourselves in. So why is it ALWAYS the U.S. sticking their nose where it doesn't belong and why is it ALWAYS in the middle east or nearby?

Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria

Maybe it's all a coincidence and the U.S. has a very big heart and we're the best fucking country in the world and w/e other Disney story you can come up with

but at what point does policing turn into conflict of interests? & an ever so apparent attempt to have an extremely strong grip on the middle east?

Just because something doesn't fit into your utopian narrative of the world or the U.S. doesn't make it a conspiracy. Let's deal with reality and facts...not our perceptions

Tbf the U.S has been put under presure to intervene, they didn't even want to. But the Iraq wars made that almost impossible now that real chemical weapons are being used, they'd look like hypocrites. In a way they've forced their own hand.

Godbody 08-28-2013 12:11 PM

Well tbf the U.S. said they'd get involved if Syria used chemical weapons a long time ago. before any of this was news

Cool. That doesn't explain what their heavily vested interest in the middle east is nor does it justify invading Iraq under a false pretense. & We did go into Libya and fuck up their leader against Russia's demand for us not to

if we take out Syria, Russia will lose billions of dollars. Russia's made over $5 billion selling weapons to Syria. could this have something to do with our animosity towards Russia and provoking WW3?

or could the fact that we're fuckin up Russian allies just be a coincidence? but again you have to ask yourself why we're so heavily vested in the middle eastern area & a justified, sensible answer to that question still doesn't answer why we went to Iraq & why we're so interested in Iran now, too.

When a magician's doing a trick with his left hand, make sure you watch the right hand.
