Text awards idea: BAR OF THE YEAR
 

As you all know we hold the LB text awards every year where battlers and forum personas alike are recognised for their contributions to the site. Here's my suggestion:

Where we already have a Best Battle category, I propose we open a Bar of the Year category.

Simply put, if you come across a bar in any battle where you think DAAAAMMMMNNN DON DEMARCO upon reading, you copy that shit and post it in here, with credit to whoever wrote it and what battle it's from.

At the end of the year I'll go through the thread and pick out the most suggested/strongest contenders and open a top 10 poll that you will all then vote on; the most votes will be crowned Bar of the Year. I propose these winners are then added to the LB statistics section under "Best Bars", where the top tens from each year can be posted and viewed.

@RULE to thread, seeing as the LB awards/stats is your gig.

This is an awesome idea. Maybe suggest the contenders be opened to 20? 10 is a bit restricting in my opinion. I believe theres alot more than just 10 who would be equally compatible for this competition. But excellent proposal

@Askari - Great idea, I proposed a thread similar about 5 months ago, but not an award thread. Just posting the best bars people've seen in a while. But yeah, this is an awesome idea. I love looking through battles to find that ''umph'' bar. Can't wait to see the nominees.

Ten different battlers, though. We don't want 6 bars from the same person.

i agree, the most recent battles/vet battles from the past year will be the only ones noticed and posted. despite that dope idea. give the winner a trophy or a pic for their signature.

I Think everyone should Nominate One of their own bars and cut down the list from there .

We need waaay more awards this year. Too many members, not enough awards.. :D

PS:UA was the first to win Best Punchline in 2010. idk if you'd count that as the same but ehh..
