I mean you know they call everything a freestyle these days. Doesn't change the fact that this dude is probably the most consistent and true-to-himself rappers to ever live. Never took the mainstream route although he could've PLENTY of times. Stayed independent, does w/e he wants, and owns his own publishing. A good example of a blueprint that every artist that wants creative control/little fame should follow

That's nice too...BUT unfortunately I'ma hafta hate a just liiiiiilllllllll bit. My hate for AZ is not lyrical wise...it's his commitment. His flow is so smooth no doubt & you can tell you know he got one of the best flows ever. It's undeniable...HOWEVER he has my same problem. Lemme be honest...like dropping a jewel then getting ghost. My excuse is life & I get bored wit shit I understand real quickly. I don't know his excuse...I don't know his personal life. But Nas called him out on that before like on a radio interview or somethin. He was like I'm looking for AZ to do a collab & I can't find him. He literally couldn't track him down...

lol I don't know too much about AZ other than he's great imo..he talks about how all these rappers that rap about that ballin/rich lifestyle arent really about it and that he's been had money before the rap shit

thing about AZ is that he's low key...hard to find anything on the nigga's personal life..even who he's married to and who he's dating...let alone his net worth...

maybe he really is just a busy guy and Nas couldnt get a hold of him

AZ and Nas are sooooo similar real talk. AZ could be immortalized just like Nas if he put out as much content. In my eyes, they're one in the same though.

Nas took his talent to the mainstream level, did numbers, went plat, etc.. He can't rhyme like AZ can but he can flow his ass off

AZ stayed underground, is one of the more gifted multi syllabic rappers, but can't flow like Nas can or story tell like Nas
