Anyone ever written a book?
 

I started my first novel last night; I had some free time then and this morning and am sitting currently at 4,000. Waaaay long to go lol, but it's something productive to fill time if nothing else.

Any of you ever tried it or had anything published etc?

I highly recommend it, it's extremely therapeutic and great to get the creativity flowing.

I wrote a kids book one time. Just or fun. And a contest at a book store. The head full of Ketamine I was on when I wrote it really had an effect on the outcome I must say.

I use to write short stories might start back what is your novel about op?

I couldn't because I don't find books to be interesting. I've always got some ideas and everything knocking around, and I've done a lot of BTBs (pro wrestling thing :D), but books themselves aren't fun to me.

It's a kind of real-life coming of age story of 2 best friends; from my perspective: drugs, petty gambling, drinking and girls, and the subsequent result of that. The two best friends win big and go on an adventure but there's a lot of drama and change surrounding them so it'll deal with how their relationships develop as they essentially go from boys to men. It's early days (current word count 7,722) so I can't really give you more than that lol, but it's great fun to write about something so close to home. I've also used a few - to my knowledge - original writing techniques which will hopefully make it stand out.

If you ever release it let me know, it sounds interesting I'd give that a read.
