Socom is Dead
 

I was a big Socom fan back in the day. If you played Socom 1 or 2, you know what i'm talking about. I'm very disappointed that most great games from back in the day are getting the HD gloss and not Socom.

Resident Evil in HD I understand
Metal Gear HD, I understand
Ratchet and Clank HD, Scratching my head. Hmmmm Really!!!! Flop

Socom 1 sold 3 million +
Socom 2 sold 2 million +
Socom 3 sold 1 million +
And we get no HD for that.

I was just hoping that there would be a Socom legacy collection that combined Socoms 1-3 announce at E3 2012

Now as of August Sony will no longer be supporting the servers. So if you still play socom on the PS2, get your game play in now. As of August 2012.

SOCOM was to get the HD treatment but I don't know what happened with that, they did have a cool demo for it though...

Socom is dead because the sale numbers declined by 1 million after they decided to make newer versions of the game. You want the numbers to rise when you're in any type of marketing business, not fall. That could be the reason they're just like fuck it because we now have the CODs and Battlefields which people are more familiar with and fond to. Business is about competition and I honestly don't see "SOCOM" competing with COD or even Bad Company. That's just like me saying they should make another Medal of Honor, with HD, because we all know the original MoH games for the PS1 were undeniably epic.

Does anybody remember Syphon Filter?

I saw the demo on youtube. Everything looked so crisp.
