Out of courtesy, I'd like to see those who voted against me explain why they did.. because I've read these over and over, and I'm not seeing how that bar beat mine. Maybe people needed expo's or something.. but no one asked for one, so.. I don't know.

He had more to his bar. Like 3 puns in 1 bar to your 1. & his punch was just better. The allergic to me thing just isn't that dope. It was pretty clear who won to be honest.

Under the Surface.. a "reef" is under the surface. Reef also being his name. Also, under the surface meaning getting under your skin.

Nerve.on.a. pun = Nirvana pun (his avatar). Also, getting under the surface is the same as "hitting a nerve". Also, saying "the first shot is done" referring to how Kurt Cobain killed himself with one shot, makes the phrase "nerve.on.a pun" an actual pun. So "come atcha personally" is attacking his personal avatar.

Musta just purchased a drink if you're saying "reef ill"... as in the only time I'll hear him say that, he's actually asking for a "refill". Also, tying into "first shot is done".. shot as in liquor.

Then the allergic punch.

All of that versus a decent palm reader punch and two other VERY soft plays on words sprinkled with fictional gunplay.

Reef shit way better to me....being 100% honest...mostly in concept and style points

Ok I'll admit I personally missed the Nirvana part. But Reef under water is played & I'm not saying you had a bad bar. It was good, but Reef was better. You lost by 90 something %, so it is what it is. Don't make a big deal about it cuz it'll reflect poorly on you. Just trying to help.

Right wordplay just didnt think it Executed as well as you usually make it do .

i think phro had the more creative bar but the wording messed it up a lil and it was too many concepts in one punch... just a case of less is more in this situation...

it's a fucking battle, not an essay. when i read battles, i want the punch and wordplay to come straight at me, and have that WOW!!!!! factor. i hate when im reading some battles and there's always that one guy that tries to fit in a gazillion concepts and wordplay into one bar. Reefer had that more entertaining and WHOA! bar. Phroxen, your nice and shit, but you gotta calm down and simplify your wordplay and concepts sometimes... know what i mean?
