he has an OKAY FLOW and GOOD LYRICS people argue his story telling ability. okay he's probably top 10 in that. top 20 in technical LYRICS and i'd say top 50 in flow.

You're buggin. Nas is consistent AND he's signed to a major. But from the music he puts out, you would swear he's indie because he has a lot of freedom over his projects.

Rewind was a story Nas told BACKWARDS. Even the dialogue is backwards.

"My first album had no famous guest appearances. The outcome - I'm crowned the best lyricist" - Nas.

That line should speak for itself...

Let me remind you that RAP is Rhythm & Poetry...and not many successfully complete the task of rapping better than Nas.

Nas's most mainstream shit was Oochie Wally. Nas keeps it real. He made songs to uplift the people, he made political songs that spoke out (way before Lupe was even known), Nas made songs that were giant metaphors before Lupe too

You argue anybody coulda done this, anybody coulda done that. but Nas did it before them. & He did a great job at it
