FVC Will Soon Be No More Because
 

Staff have been talking about removing the FVC from Lets Beef. Personally I don't want to see this happen. Granted activity has been an issue but having educated voters out there with higher vp and a place to drop battle links. No matter how rare FVC member vote is FAR better than having no FVC at all. I'm sure alot of you will understand my logic. . . Okay so this is the deal. . . alot of you will know my circumstances and alot of you won't. But due to the position I am in I'm no longer in a good position to actively and efficiently oversee the FVC and all that comes w/it. I just can't . . So I made the decision to step down. I have offered the responsabillity to another Mod. Though he is willing to offer suggestions and help I'm pretty sure he's not interested in taking the job on full time. Fair play. Whatever. I have asked to be taken off the FVC a while back but for w.e reason it hasn't happened yet. Thats why I'm here. I want to get somebody to replace as well as you guys put across your ideas to help ot work as well as why you think it should continue (If you feel it should) if you don't speak your mind aswell. So put across why you think it should stay, ideas to make it work, nominate someone you think trustworthy to take my place and when I feel we have enough I will copy this into the staff forum so Pugz and the rest of the staff can co.e to a decision which is best for the site. Remember I'm posting this so you can do your part. Don't let it go to waste if you feel strongly about it. Because if you don't? there's a chance that you could be kicking yourself later on and regret it when it's gone. The FVC has been tried numerous times and fallen flat on it's ass every single time (this time probably being the most successfull) so once it's gone? I can pretty much garuntee you that it won't be back again. Aight. The balls in your court.

It should stay. Too many new cats are signing up and just voting whenever they feel. Plus my thread looks gorgeous & well formatted. :)

But, If this goes down, there will be a hand full of complaints & bs.

The FVC is/was a dope idea but to me it aint beein executed to the fullest.

Like, i've never seen all the FVC actively voting on battles and droppin knowledge. (Correct me if im wrong)

What I'd do to make it work is post threads on both the Audio and Text sections named 'FVC Voting thread' (and sticky them). This is gonna be a thread where all the fvc members are obliged to check everytime the log on and vote on every single fuckin link posted with a detailed expo of their vote.

If they don't do that shit then they ought to be replaced with other members who are willing to do it.

Personally i want a FVC team. The voters here are non existant, so if the team goes then votin will take a huge downfall.

It need to be organized correctly though and have a new mod or something that will be HEAVILY involved with takin care of it. I aint throwin dirt on you JUST cause i know you other issues to work with and shit, but a mod strictly for the FVC to make sure all voters are doing their thing is needed

@Just C Remember the poll idea you announced a while ago? The one that people vote on who was active & voting etc.
That should've been done. I also agree with a mod being assigned to be strictly an FVC mod.
The FVC CANT be taken off though..

I would happily run the FVC.

Personally, recently i have noticed a HUGE difference in activity of FVC and long detailed expos on battles, the detail of expos and fair ratings. and i mean REALISTIC ratings. I think the voting system is back on the way up.

Getting rid of the FVC would be ridiculous, all the progress voting has made would have been pointless and it will be the same old slept on battles and noobs voting for credits.

I've been here since 2006, watched the voting die and can recognise that it's finally on it's way back up again, the FVC has some EXTREMELY valuable members right now (also some who should lose their title and VP due to inactivity) and to lose it the whole site could potentially die with it.

How do you join FVC? I've dropped at least 3-5 voting threads, I always read the battles and drop the fairest vote with an expo. :high:

Thinking about it It might be better if we have a few dedicated FVC mods to share the responabillity and workload. Just dedicated to FVC like has been said so they dont get distracted from the task at hand. That could work. And I agree anon the poll I planned should have been done.

@DEADICATION You join the FVC based on how you vote, not how many battles you voted on..

If I had to pick the mods, say 3? Verity, Anonyme & Askari. (Ask isnt THAT active though.)
