I 'Live My Life' when 'This is War' like 'The A-Team'

Live My Life - vocals arent level....they go up and down, like youre moving your head away from the mic at times...flow surprised me, in a good way...the quality different between the hook and your verses is hindering the overall track...breath count was good...your dubs were too loud...lyrics were good but nothing really special, with the concept - i expected more

This Is War - dubs or adlibs - not sure which - are way too loud...hook was nice...you sound very tense in your verses...relax a little and breathe...beat was hot, but didnt really fit you...on the bright side, you showed flashes of extreme emotion...made me get into the song more

A-Team - again, the dubs are killing it...vocals need to be leveled out and theres no emtion in your verse...sounds like you just read the lyrics and let it be...hook is great...RULE has a nice, laidback tempo for this...the difference between your verse and RULEs is the clarity, work on your annunciation...if we cant make out the words, the song is moot

keep it up

Great stuff freezy...thanks for that

UnEtHıCaL 09-02-2011 12:59 PM

Open more chests than a pirate.....yeah.....original.

FreezyCT 09-02-2011 01:01 PM

big thing to keep in mind is that just because something is played on here, doesnt mean its played to everyone else

UnEtHıCaL 09-02-2011 01:06 PM

By that logic, I can just spit played lines that are always said in real life and say "Pffft, they arent old on here"

FreezyCT 09-02-2011 01:18 PM

not at all - theres a huge difference between mainstream played and letsbeef played...the fact you fail to see that doesnt surprise me tho

UnEtHıCaL 09-02-2011 01:26 PM

It's not it's own world. If somethings played, it's played.

Anonymous Poet 09-02-2011 01:32 PM

So if you werent on LB and heard of tht line would u think its played?

The answer is no

FreezyCT 09-02-2011 01:46 PM

the thing is tho, LB is essentially its own world...we hold ppl to such high standards (musically) that the average person would not be able to handle...if the average person could come up with half the concepts we see on here, then everyone would do music and i mean EVERYONE - and i dont mean the typical "everyones a rapper" saying...youre being simple minded right now, or oblivious

UnEtHıCaL 09-02-2011 01:47 PM

If you have never heard of Cassidy, and Mutilate bites him...he never really bit?

UnEtHıCaL 09-02-2011 01:47 PM

Yeah I agree with that Freez. We are all like, amazing compaired to normal standards of rap.

FreezyCT 09-02-2011 01:57 PM

if a tree falls and no one is around to hear it, did it make a sound?

biting incidents in my eyes are innocent until proven 100% guilty...in this line of work, concepts are bound to be reused again and again and again...the build ups and the wording are what seperates a biter from a non-biter...doesnt matter if ive never heard of cassidy - the guy next to me might have and he'll call the person on it...to think that you can pin-point every case of biting right when you see it is ridiculous

im not saying were amazing, im saying he had a head start...we know what to look for/listen for...we know what goes into a quality concept, how its formulated, ect...we know how to develope setups and punchlines...we know the significance of syllable counting and matching...does the average fan of music, i doubt it

you can argue that music is a science - but to the average listener, its nothing more than something to help pass the time, relate to, and hopefully enjoy

UnEtHıCaL 09-02-2011 02:07 PM

If you arent on LB, the concept isnt played as you guys say, but by your logic, what if the guy next to you is?

We are amazing. Maybe not compaired to like GT guys and everything, but if you take a rap fan who doesent really rap, and put him next to us, we will look brilliant. I once spit steaming about some shitty freestyle stuff, and was compaired to Eminem and was told I was amazing, and it was shite.

FreezyCT 09-02-2011 02:16 PM

youre proving my point..

and if you arent on LB but can phathom a concept thats played on LB, then maybe you need directed to the site

Being a rapper

I would never EVER! EV-ERRRRRR!! Say something like "I open chests like a Pirate"

And if I heard it, I'd cringe

But saying that

I could see how "Mr John Doe lets play this track to pass the time during this tedeous traffic jam" wouldn't see it as played and probably wouldnt even hear the line anyway, due to him being too busy vibing to the beat

But there are also alot of rap fans out there who don't even rap who know when something just sounds straight up cheesy. they arent stupid.

FreezyCT 09-02-2011 02:51 PM

i agree - and those are the same ppl who complain about the mainstream music...on the flipside, like you said, mainstream music fans may only be vibing to the beat

but, i think it takes more to formulate a basic, original concept then to be able to spot a cheesy, played one

Anonymous Poet 09-02-2011 05:07 PM

Ok....good points by everyone....

But we missing the point...

some comments and rates on any of these tracks please?
