Education on LB

Okay, this is the third in a demographics study I"m doing on LB.

Previous results have shown that the users of this site are heavily in the 16-21 range, with a significant Caucasian majority.

This is the most interesting question I've had yet, as I really don't know the answer to this one. It will be perhaps more telling then any other I have posted so far.

The poll is up.

Please comment when you vote to keep it on the main page.

Note that I started from the bottom on the educational ladder and worked up as I went down the page.

I know like 3 people going to UCLA.

I would have gone there out of high school if I could have, it's no that hard to get into for a good school, but it's damn expensive.

IAmFlow 11-13-2009 01:40 PM

right now im in Indian River Community College taking my basic classes but i've talked to the professor of surgery at duke, so if i keep my grades above 3, which is mad easy, i have a really high chance of getting in duke

so unless somthing tragic happens... or I make a huge fuck up there.. then im pretty much set!

GPA is around 3.25-3.35 I think...?

ACT Composite = 24 , retaking it aiming for 26+

Louie Dawgs 11-13-2009 01:52 PM

Ehhh..Honestly, I don't know that much about colleges in that range. FWIW, there are some good schools that are easier to get into that you could look at with those grades. You already mentioned Ohio State, Columbus, which I was gonna recommend to you. Um... I would consider like, Texas or Syracuse. what are you going for??

Mass Communication/Journalism - Doing ESPN internships and shit like that...

Louie Dawgs 11-13-2009 01:57 PM

Um, I think Ohio state would actually be a really good choice. If I'm not mistaken they have a strong journalism department, but i'm not 100 on that.

Rican 11-13-2009 02:32 PM

True that. Ohio State does.

Not like the way I did.

Honestly, in either of my first two years of high school I should have flunked like half my classes.

I was the one guy that didn't turn in any of the HW and really only showed for the tests. lol

I had an english class in ninth grade where I didn't do anything but the midterms, I shoulda flunked it. I have no clue how I got a C in that one....

Silk Account 22 11-13-2009 08:25 PM

My bro is a dropout and he makes 30$ an hour. lmao!

Your HS didn't have a 10 absent per semester policy?

damn...well its a shitty rule but it motivates you to go, knowing you jus gonna fail if u keep skipping.

Silk Account 22 11-13-2009 08:26 PM

Junior High aka Middle School, counted it as High school though.

It was somethin like that.

Anyway, add in about 10 abesnts, a few "sick" days, a couple excused absenses, and you've not really there that much.

I was tardy like 40% of the time anyway. I was always gettin in shit for that.

When I did show to class half the time I didn't do the HW anyways. lol.
