Ait ait, everybody take your seats, class is in session. I've already noticed we have a class clown running around by the name of @Concise giving out ninja turtle nicknames which I actually like so let's see if his bars are just as funny lol. We're here to have fun but also here to learn something. With that said, let's start this off properly

Alright, now that everyones checked in. Simmer down. Let's go over the :rules:

CLASS RULES

1. Each student will have one week to post 2 bars (4 lines) on the subject matter. Use the text box you'd use for a normal battle to count the bars before posting.
2. If for any reason you are late, you will be replaced by someone else as I want this class to exceed no more than 8 people so that I can dedicate time to each bar accordingly.
3. There are exceptions. If you did not log on during that time period, I will accept that as a DOCTORS NOTE. You will then have two days to post your lines before the start of the next class.
4. DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR GRADE. I am doing this by myself and grading each how I see fit. Take the grade, and continue to improve. There will be some of you writing at higher levels than others. That's to be expected.
5.I will be evaluating each students lines, and posting a percentage grade on the following categories:

1.Structure/readability
2.Delivery/Cadence of the bar (or what us old heads call swagger, yes that exists in text and it is an art form)
3. Multis (if you dont know what a multi is, please say so in this thread and I will explain in more detail)
4.Punches
5. Creativity

We will keep it simple for now, but as the class progresses the lessons will get increasingly more difficult. Now, lets get into this week's lesson.....

THE FUNDAMENTALS

When I say fundamentals, I mean quite simply crafting a bar that reads smoothly structure wise and has the proper multis. We won't put too much focus on the punch, just want to be sure we get the fundamentals down.

You will be graded on two categories for this assignment. Structure/Readability and Multis.

Here is an example from one of the LB greats @UNKNOWN ARTIST on how to do Multis with good structure/readability...

If you notice UA doesn't use too many symbols. It's crisp, clean, and too the point. The punchline itself isn't the most creative I've seen from him but that's the point of this lesson, sometimes it doesnt have to be if it's worded strongly and delivered with swag and a smooth delivery which is today's lesson.

I want to see where everyones talent level is so do your best on these bars, but you'll be graded on the two categories listed above. This way I'll know where everyone is at, and how to proceed.

And finally this weeks TOPIC: will be FAMOUS MUSICIANS.
DEADLINE: SATURDAY, MARCH 25TH

You must construct two bars using the topic. By two bars I mean 2 bars in the text box that you'd use in a normal text battle.

QUICK TIP FROM RUPT:

When you're crafting a bar, and you want it to be delivered effectively and hit at max potential, you don't want to have too much space between your multis in each line. Not saying you have to rhyme everything, but if there is too much space or filler, the bar wont hit as hard and be what we deem as STRETCHED.

I will provide more insight on that once the bars are posted and you'll be able to see the difference by each other's bars and grades etc.

Alright. Now let's get started and have some fun! This is a good opportunity for some of you to show off your skills, and prove to others you have the ability to evolve. We're all here for it.
