All these vets on here logon and don’t post, don’t battle, don’t vote, don’t beef, nothing at all. They just want to preserve their legacy and pretty much could careless about anything else. Well all of that won’t matter soon cuz from the looks of it, even the new members signing up are not sticking around anymore.

Either changes have to be made, or just accept the site is done and all will be erased including the little titles y’all hold dearly.

And I’m not trying to shit on anyone but soon as someone talks about ideas to get shit active, vets come in about how it’s always failed and it will continue to fail with no ounce of interest to even save shit

We tryna get the battles popping. Whenever GG responds to the 32 that'll light the site up for a bit, but after a while it gets boring cause there's no real comp so it dies yet again. I think a consistency of fire battles will slowly get the ship sailing again

With that needs to come realistic voting.. No real comp also brings no real voting.. There needs to be a cycle with battling and voting.. Why should heavyweights get all the votes but never vote on other peoples shit

I absolutely agree with both of y’all. This last month been fun and brought back a lot of high school memories. But i can see it’s a dying activity, judging by all the other forums of its kind being gone as well.

At least when i ran my Fuck The Old Heads Campaign, it was just because we wanted to start beef. You're in here blaming inactive vets for the site dying lmao. We've held this place up since 2005 and he's like "Hold on some more. Don't be selfish.". Bitch i literally RAN 2014. Without my feuds, battles, and high level of activity, this site would've died that year. Don't give me that "We need the vets" crap.

Every guy that makes a "vets need to do more" or "it's the members fault" thread shortly disappear while those same vets stay here battling. It's been happening for years.

Point is.. Vets don't owe this site activity. We've given years of it and to blame them for the decline is just pathetic. If you're new and can't make an impact here, that ain't no one else's fault but your own. Vets will log in every day, not do shit, and these new guys piss themselves knowing that their callouts will politely get ignored.

I get that shit but the only way to keep people coming back is if they have a scheduled match, or a battle that means something. Y’all not trying to reward anyone with anything simply because in your day it was hard earned, and I respect that fully but this is the cycle of everything. Rap, professional sports, etc. the old guys always say “these new cats couldn’t hang with our generation”, OKAY COOL, but guess what, those events still keep happening and titles and rankings and all that are still being awarded. But on here y’all wanna say “it shouldn’t be official”.

All I’m saying is eventually there won’t be a site for you to bitch and moan about everything you’ve created. If anything I’m trying to step up and carry that forward and add life to this dying sport so new cats can log on and read about your accomplishments. You’re mad at the wrong guy.

As far as me battling I’m still real sloppy and rusty, but believe I can hold my own against anyone. I also have won it all with Sixshot and little with goldmic back in the day, audio and text, so you’re not exactly telling me anything new. I’ve been to where you’re at and gave it all up, only difference is my legacy and work erased because those sites went down. I’m trying to prevent same from happening with yours!

I can't speak for others but I don't really battle anymore bc of the voters. Shit is 50% a popularity contest for an easy credit, 50% ppl bias to their dialect. It ain't worth it to sit down & craft something truly creative ya'll can't really comprehend—flow/rhyme-wise let alone concept-wise.

Text Battling is simply something that won't work with the culture cultivated here. Plain 'n simple.You need a much larger, less cliquey, open minded & educated base of users—LB basically needs launched into mainstream & gather the traffic it had 10 years ago. Maybe divisions based on regions so people understand who they're voting for better.

Maybe rethinking the voting strategy so it's more-so a prestigious right that you earn. Only proven battlers can vote & they join a committee of mf's who get extra perks or some shit so it's worth it. Idk. Right now aint it though. :monkey:

You have to realize that there’s a large community that enjoys rhyming and participates in battling of some sort, and it’s not uncommon for someone that used to do it, to swing around and join practically the only site that exists. I’m not asking for anyone to battle, but at least if a vet logs on constantly I feel like they can drop a vote here and there or host a tourney or something of value. I’m not asking for anything more than that.

I also don’t like when a vet says “well you haven’t beaten anyone worthy” or “the guys back then were better” I get it but how the fuck am I supposed to battle anyone if they’re not willing to battle? I’ve responded to every call out that’s came my way. And still waiting to hear from people who’ve made statements about battling but have yet to send anything.

Either way, point is, if you log on you should be able to drop a vote or comment or anything of substance that new guys can feed off of.
