Examples of why the Moderation team needs to be replaced:
 
So there have been a bunch of complaints from numerous members about the moderation team not doing their job and not acting fair lately and their defense is that "it's just a bunch of snow flakes crying because they lost battles."

So let's expose some examples of how these complaints come about, it's not just members being upset because they lost battles so stop playing yourself.

Shit like this is the reason a lot of members are calling for this mod team to be removed and replaced. They only enforce the rules on members who are not part of the dick riders club. The rest of them are free to run around and bite verses, sway votes, hate vote, use multies, troll and whatever else. Then if anyone complains about the blatant disregard for rule enforcement they are just "snow flakes crying about losing battles".

Action was taken. Lockhart was given an infraction for biting, but not enough to trigger a ban. This is because mods are encouraged to use discretion in deciding how many infraction points to give for a verse. Lock’s first offence was an obvious joke where he told people about it before anyone noticed, so he received fewer infraction points than the standard 30.

Biting infractions require a discussion amongst the whole staff team before action is taken, which is why it took a while for Lock to be punished for this. The second offence was much more serious than the first, because he’d previously been warned not to do it again, so he received more infraction points than the standard 30. This led to a 1-month ban.

Look to be honest, Odin needs to stop calling everybody snowflakes, but beyond that we are doing our jobs. Idk where the sway voting and hate voting shit’s coming from, but if there’s an example of it you want to report let me know and I’ll take a look. Using multis is perfectly within the rules as long as you don’t use them to self-vote or break any other rules. Biting and trolling have just been punished from Lock. If you have any real complaints to make I’d love to hear them.

they was gonna ban me for posting a picture of a person.. or a video of a dudes baby moms.. and him.. when i found out he was a cop.. i posted his resume ,on my old account.. but i seen people get doxxed and nothin happens.. they are the type to ban skizzo for some shit but still have free skizzo in their sigs.. very contradictory .. if you view my sig,.. this is a former mod.. talking about how he came back.. to be respected after all his bans,fuck xcal/hvk.. and anyone who comes from that Ilk

LB's been around for a long time, and there've been lots of different mod teams with different styles and priorities and ways of doing things. With respect to posting personal information, in recent years staff have taken a very hard line against this and any doxing or anything of the sort will be met with banning by the current team if it is malicious. I can't speak for any previous mod teams, I'm sure some of them had plenty of issues and probably made many mistakes (or were even downright corrupt), but that doesn't mean the blame transfers to current staff.

With regards to biting, the rules were written in like 2005 or something. The way it's written on the rule page isn't necessarily the way the rules are enforced in the present. The paragraph you keep quoting says "with thousands of members listening to our battles daily", which is obviously wrong and hasn't been the case since the 2000s. The rules page should be updated, but none of the active staff have the power to make changes to it. The current official policy on biting is that mods should confer and discuss the issue together then reach a group decision and give the appropriate infraction and/or ban. Unfortunately this is written in the staff forums, which regular users don't have access to, but if you ask other users that have been around the site for a few years I'm sure they can confirm staff usually take time to investigate a biting accusation and work out what the appropriate response is.

Either someone bites or they don't... are you suggesting there are varying degrees of biting and each case should be considered differently? If so a hidden policy like that is why members are going to feel like the mods are picking and choosing who and how to enforce rules on.

100% yes. Examples:
A) Someone bites many bars from live battles or other LB battles in multiple battles in serious competitions then tries to claim they are their own.
B) Some noob starts the first line of their first ever verse with a line from an Eminem song
C) Someone has two lines in a verse that are very similar to lines from a live battle, but it’s unclear whether it’s their own work
D) Someone copy-pastes a whole verse verbatim but never tries to claim it as their own and explicitly tells people what they’re doing before, during and after doing it

These four examples are all very different, and reacting in exactly the same way to all of them means you end up either coming down way too hard on confused noobs and scaring them off the site, or letting serial biters get away with shit they shouldn’t. That’s why we have mod discretion.

This just sounds like you making excuses for Locchart now. He doesn't start the battle by saying "I bit this entire verse" anyone reading it would assume they are his bars, that's why people are voting for him and saying how funny the rhymes are etc... "never claiming them as their own" is ridiculous when you literally post the verse as your own in a ranked battle. Anyone replying to the blind open would also have no idea until they waste all their bars for the battle to get closed without votes.

By this logic anyone could break any rule and when they get caught just claim it was a "joke".

I think the original rules that are posted make a lot more sense and leave a lot less room for bias interpretation. Maybe that's why it's setup so it can't be changed.

A little update for you. Noone else will be banned unless it's any of the coward moderators. X is on his way back to deal with Cockhart and turn his two biting battles to autolosses. He is highly confuses why no other moderator has yet to discipline Cockhart and change these battles around. More coming soon, again don't be afraid of these dudes banning you, I'm in contact with both admins right now thru email that way your not getting banned from them talking thru the site
