Best Chorus In Rap

Thoughts? Could be based on anything like Lyricism, Catchiness, etc.

Personally I’m finna go with these 3

- Nocturnal Rainbows, Hopsin
- Ante Up, MOP
- Shook Ones 2, Mobb Deep

All for different reasons but I feel like the first is one of the best in meaningfulness and lyricism, second is hyphy and catchy af, third is just real and raw af.

Lemme know y’all mf thoughts on this shit.

Definitely gotta go for Gucci Gang by Lil Pump here. That shit's deep as fuck; years later people are still searching to uncover the meaning he's got going on in there.

In all seriousness the choruses/hooks/whatevers that stand out to me would be from Dance With The Devil by Immortal Technique because of the meaning, and the way he's able to tie what he's been saying in the chorus into the verses at the end of the track; Till I Collapse by Eminem cos that shit fucken bangs; and Let You Down by NF probably hits the most personal chord within me a lot of the time.

50 Cent - Many Men prolly my favorite hook.

Damn yo I agree with you, especially on that first one. It keeps popping up out of nowhere but at the end it really shines through and connects the narrative wth the greater message he’s trying to portray.

To this day I think that might be the pinnacle of “underground” rap. Shit literally doesn’t get any better than that song, since it literally contains every faucet of skill, if you include the ending “hidden” track with Diabolic.

Till I Collapse has a fire chorus too imo, Nate Dogg is the best singer in hip-hop without a debate. Shit really gets you hyped.

Never heard Let You Down though so I can’t comment on that.

93 till infinitely came to my head but it doesn't really have a chorus.

For me, it's the vibe when the beat gets hella detailed with instruments such as that old school synth or whatever it is and them going "this is how we chill from 93 til"

Phil Banks 03-23-2020 06:07 PM

My favorite chorus is probably Soulja Slim - I'm a Fool

That song has always been my joint when I just need to get ready to go into beast mode....

Denton 03-23-2020 06:13 PM

When I B On The Mic - Rakim
Drake - Headlines
N.O.R.E - Nuthin'
Fabolous - Keepin' It Gangsta

Ah shit forgot about Gin N Juice! Shot goes beside Regulate for the top 2 G-Funk songs of all time imo. Outkast heavily underrated lyrically, the shit they hide in their lyrics behind pop beats is fucking genius.

Personally tho I prefer Big Poppa over Juicy’s chorus, but to each they own.

This is sort of silly... There is no best... Completely subjective and opinionated.

On that note, y'all got a narrow scope so far, no hate, but I guess I assumed y'all were hip hop heads. This is just grazing the surface:

KRSOne - Step into the World
Tribe- Can I Kick It?
Missy Elliot- Work It
Black Star - the whole dang album, but mos def Respiration.
Almost all of the Fugees self titled, all of Lauren Hill's music
Deee-Lite - Groove is in the Heart
Wu-Tang ... Ya know all of Wu-Tang... Lmao, but seriously
Biggie - Juicy
Jurrasic 5 - What's Golden, Thin Line
Dead Prez - Hip Hop ... Cuz it's catchy
Too $hort - Blow the Whistle
E-40 - Yay Area - We be to rap what key be to lock sample from Digable Planets
The Game & 50 Hate It or Love It....
J Cole- Apparently
Czarface- Nightcrawler ugh that sample
Kendrick- Poetic Justice, Backseat Freestyle

Tons of others... I can go on and on ... Expand y'all's listening protfolio! XD
