Broken multies?
If ya feelin-low needin-dough...im like a GENIE WIT REQUESTS but pay that back, or this tech hit-flesh & that'll REALLY LEAVE a MESS cuz once its “S-Owe-S” ya best-beLIEVE HES in “DISTRESS”!
"ACTION? -ASK YA WHORE "Pull Up When Ya At Work"... she fly outta bed -starts DASHIN DOWN a FLOOR im wavin' my boxers like a PRACTICED MATADOR!..Pipe-it, now she a "Porch-Pirate" way she "Take The PACKAGE AT THE DOOR"" Do these have broken multies? |
No, but DOWN is way off from ASK, MAT and AT.

Because they don't rhyme in any way? DOWN is too strong a word for this.
Same with the LEAVE in the first rhyme. That one goes LEAVE - IN - WIT. Leave is the word that's too powerful there to not have a rhyme. |

Neither one of those bars have broken multis.
|
Personally I find lower casing shit like that to be really annoying.

GENIE WIT REQUESTS = REALLY LEAVE , MESS = LIEVE HES, “DISTRESS” The way that looks to me is 5, 4, 5, even though I can assume the "a"s and "in" are emphasized, and apart of the scheme. They must be capped to show placement and emphasis for a smoother read. |
They don't have to be capped. I think they CAN have an effect on flow, and it is quite annoying to look at which again can have an effect, but at when they're in the middle like that they are okay to rhyme along with.
A multi starts with the first syllable and ends with the last syllable. Everything inside that is part of the multi, whether capped or not. |

However, the syllable count is fine. The a and the other word being lowercase in the multi set doesn't change the syllable count. I hope that's not the confusion here. |

Just to put them back together. 2nd problem, it's part of my grading. I go through and read caps exclusively, after I read the verse, helps figure out if the multies are broken. And rhyming smoothly. ---------- Post added at 08:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:13 PM ---------- Also the tutorial examples have ALL multi words capped. https://www.letsbeef.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140600 If we can just cut corners and bend what a multi is, what's the point of having a format... |

You capitalize multies...and then he fails to do it....its broken. Because he failed to follow format that ended up with the syllables in his CAPPED multies being off....why cap any multies at all if you're just gonna do it like that?? |
It's not a rule. It's a guideline.
|
Simple version:
Broken Multi's = Wrong Syllable Count. If you rap it out loud, you'll know. 1/ |
This^
I don't know what's so hard to grasp about this. Multiple threads being made about broken multis. If the multis in your rhyme scheme have the same syllable count...it's not broken. It's that simple. Format doesn't mean anything. doesn't matter if he wrote the fucking bar like this If ya feelin-low needin-dough...im like a GeNiE WiT ReQuEsTs but pay that back, or this tech hit-flesh & that'll ReaLLY LEaVE a MeSs cuz once its “S-Owe-S” ya best-beLiEvE HeS In “DiStReSS”! |

---------- Post added at 12:56 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:51 AM ---------- Broken Multi means the syllable count is off, not if it's capped or not - na mean? Example 1: PACKING a GAT - 4 LAUGH IN the BACK - 4 Example 2: PACKING a GAT - 4 LAUGH IN the BACKYARD - 5 Example 2 is broken, because example 1 has lower case in it, it is still the same syllable count. |
This thread is hilarious lol. The answer is NO.
