Ideas for next Season
 

Now that we are coming to the end of the first season on LB, I want to share some ideas we are cooking up for next season and get your feedback.

Season Leagues
Based on your season rank (elo rating) you will be placed into a league. With a similar theme & structure to voting badges, your league will change the color of your season rank badge.

• Bronze League (Rank 0-999)
• Silver League (Rank 1000-1499)
• Gold League (Rank 1500-1799)
• Diamond League (Rank 1800+)

If you beat someone in a league higher than yours, you will earn a point bonus and your opponent will take an extra point loss. The bonuses will vary based on league vs league.

We will most likely expand leagues for other purposes in the future.

Round Avatars & Avatar Borders
We are experimenting with the idea of round avatars, and avatar borders. Borders may be used to express your league and/or other accomplishments like tournament wins. Some examples below.

Ok good. Hopefully there won’t be any glitches with the ranking system when implementing the further point swaps for beating someone higher ranked and so on.

Not sure how I'm feeling the round avatars. I think they look terrible on discord.

Thanks for the feedback, this is still an experiment at this stage.. another option is to keep square and have rounded corners, or just keep square.

i like the changes to the circle, but i'd like to be larger than what we have now, i keep having the hardest time finding images small enough to fit. for example, with gifs, they have to be extremely small (data wise) or they won't work, which limits the creativity of the gif. so i'd like to see the dimensions and storage cap increased.

really like the league idea as well. need to make sure to get dope graphics for it. it's like "ultimate team" mod in sports games, with this being closet to mlb the show. i think the colour pallet should look more into 2k ultimate team though. they have tiers like onyx and amethyst which are really dope.

No. I’m just eager and excited that new features are rolling out. Things like this should be the topic of discussion along with everything that’s coming in January. Instead, there’s twenty threads about Rican and people bitching back and forth. It’s always the same 3 guys bitching and moaning about any update that’s made regarding the site. And other than the complaining that these group of people do, their relevance and contributions to the site are few and far between.
