My opinion on the whole Rican thing
 

I've had a weird bunch of interactions with Rican personally.

I started being accused of being Rican mostly by @IIAM and backed up by @Punk at the time. But rican did help me out a lot starting on the site. That was something positive about him. Unfortunately, most people here are not interested in new cats. Evidence of that would be how long Elevation crews last. It was actually nice to have someone around who could tell you "This kids a troll, that guys legit." As i initially thought @Dave or @EtH was a troll account the way he bullshitted in the chatbox.

Outside of that Rican left the BHC after posting things like "I'm here to help you guys." And that actually struck a nerve with me. So I laid my opinions out in the LBT when me and Rican battles there. He never really had a cross word to me outside of that.

Now, after @RULE looked into a situation and rican asked for a two week ban. I obviously knew he was doing shit that was not at all cool. But I assumed after the post RULE made that he had looked into it and made a decision.

Later, @Autograph was added to the mod team (congrats btw.) The sentence was changed without any new evidence being given to the LB community.

While I agree multis are a problem when it comes to rican mostly the rest of us tend to use them without incident, except when RULE almost battled himself in EtH's tourney. Luckily RULE did the right thing and pulled out.

I just don't see how exactly it's fair for rican's situation to be altered after RULE had presumably looked into it without anything new coming to light.

To further my stance, I believe rican deserves to be banned but I feel like changing his sentence after he is no longer in the picture with no new evidence coming to light was a little under handed for the staff to do.

No hate on @RULE or @Autograph i respect the decision i just think the entire situation could have been handled better.

To reiterate your point, I was cool with Rican too, and all my interactions with him were good. We actually had some good conversations, but yeah, sadly, he's done what he's done. I told him in IM's to delete all his accounts and just stick around on his one "Rican" account, but, he didn't want to. He never actually really answered it properly. To answer your question, they banned him and found further evidence of cheating and that's what called for the 2 year ban, when they do a ban like that, they lay out all their offences, and each offence earns you a certain amount of infractions points, and the amount of infraction points you rack up determines your ban length. So, i'm going to assume that was carried out properly, and it ended up as a 2 year ban. It's okay though bro, he'll be back on a multi soon.

You felt Rican was cool because you guys didn't listen to me. I don't know what Rican's done this time. No one's explained it. But at the end of the day when he comes back I immediately recite his entire wrap sheet and each new gen of people never seem to give a fuck. No matter how many times he bites ot self votes, he's still in RULE's top 10 and that's all that matters apparently.

This thread kind of pisses me off for multiple reasons & I’ll be back soon with another thread addition.

Ricans ban was his fault and his fault alone. He’s a repeat offender. His request to be self banned was only to pull wool over the Mod teams eyes. He’s deleted multiple threads in this ban time of his. We’ve seen him online multiple times during this ban time that he suggested. New evidence was found against Rican, including using multiple accounts to vote against battle participants in one battle. Add everything I just said to repeat offender and you’ll understand why his time is 2 Years and any multi created after today that turns out to be Rican will be banned by myself or the team, no ands ifs or buts. Rican will serve his full sentence.

Not doubting it. Just looks to the regular user that nothing happened and then ban the 2 weeks becomes 2 years. I believe things happened with this mod team and they acted appropriately. I'm just saying publicly it looks really weird.
