I'm rolling out changes to make the current LetsBeef site easier to use on mobile devices. Please test it out and report any issues in this thread.

I've noticed things changing on the website, even when not using mobile - is this intended?

Tournament section is weird. The battles comment/vote section is very small. It's like 2 letters wide and a mile long. Cant really read the votes/comments. It would take a half hour to try to peace together letters to make a word, to make a sentence. Only issue I see so far @X

Thanks, try tournament battles now they should be fixed.

The changes to the code affect desktop and mobile (it's one code base), if you notice anything wrong please update this thread.

Noticed some issues with the profile page, seems too condensed. Also the track fonts/colors seem to have changed.

I'm on desktop. The spacing and balance feels different now, but mostly nothing particularly jarring. Avatars in battles are too small, though. This was a problem even before this change, but now it's 100x worse.

Came here to say this. Just hopped on PC to make a thread and noticed this. Not sure if this was intentional or not but looks bad.

I mostly use mobile though, and overall I like the scrolling nature of the layout of the new mobile site compared to having to swipe side to side. It's sleeker.

Hottest battle on desktop should be fixed. Let me know about other issues.

Just wish the current tournament and battle feed were still on the side of the screen. Other than that this mobile format is sick. Sup on that recorder though?
Also... a poll was done recently to have user views on battles. Is that possible? Popular vote said yes.

It’s at the bottom of the page. Leaving it on the side will cause certain elements to overflow and stack ridiculously. The mobile format is supposed to eliminate the horizontal scroll.

Fixed avatars on battles

Yeah it's tough to fit everything, so I moved the left feed to the bottom on mobile. I think it's better getting the core content of the page first (e.g the battle, forum post etc)

Views on battles may be possible, will look into it

@X minor thing but on mobile the chat box/feed doesn’t have timestamps anymore. Minor like I said but It’s nice to see when you come on if you’re replying to a conversation from 5 minutes or 5 hours ago

This has nothing to do with mobile per se, but I would love to see a feature that lets us search all LB text battles in history like we can search the forums. This would REALLY help us track down plagiarists ("Man I know I saw a similar concept before but I can't remember where!)... and help us find bars on a certain theme... and just generally be a cool thing to have.

Like how you can type lyrics into Apple Music and get the song result?

I guess? I've never used Apple Music. I mean like a Google Search for "where was a similar bar to this used," or failing that, at least something for exact strings (i.e., it only shows you verbatim results, not just "similar" bars like Google can day, the former being a lot easier to program).

If the lyrics are stored on the site, you definitely can Punk. i recently implemented searching for text from a book into an e-book website.

Alot of scrolling.
Hard to tell whos a leader / captain in a crew.
SUPER small avatars on battles.

Thanks for the feedback, keep letting us know about bugs or things that are difficult on mobile, fixes are coming. Forum threads should be a bit easier to read on mobile now.

@X When posting a thread/reply the coloured font drop down is no longer there on mobile or PC.

Navigationally I like the update, definitely sleeker. My only issue is the battle box, I feel like its too small and most will have to reconstruct their formatting completely. I'm using desktop because of this

Can you explain the problem? Is the battle box causing the lines to format differently?

iPhone haven’t had any problems with the site.
