Opinions on Em

Theres alot of talk around the globe about Em and his music, some may say 'Em is the greatest of all time and I love that he disses other rappers to show his dominance in the rap world' While others may say he is a hypocrite rapper due to his dis track toward Ja Rule {BULLY} Where he talks bout he'll never back down from a bully, but dissing all the new rappers just cause he is obviously better then them or cause he dont feel the new generation" Some say that he's being 'a hypocrite cause he in fact is a "bully" himself...
So seein' as how 90% of this site R "dis battlers" just wanna see what yall opinion on the matter is...

Now I'm a huge fan of Em...Not gonna say he makes my top 3 of rappers but he is definitely some1 I listen to alot, but he does gotta realize that rap changes...It has changed since Big and Pac, and now it's just goin' thru another change is all...I personally dont mo d most his Dis tracks such as "Warning" the song where he disses Mariah And Nick...But in that track he had a reason to dis them both...But as of late I ai t been as big of a fan of EM as I was with his older dis tracks...IMO since EM has got such a big fan base he can most certainly turn the rap fans against alot of the new generation...Not sayin' I'm a fan of all the new generation rappers but some r dope...Such as MGK, LiL Dickie, ect... Now this maybe cause I'm only 25 so I may not have the same taste in rap as all of u or the older rappers but IMO Em should just move on from his new disses and just write better so he like he use to {Not afraid, Moking bird, When I'm gone} cause now to me he starting to sound like some kind of hater or just some1 who ai t happy with himself or something so he gotta try to tear down other successes...
This is just my own opinion on the matter

Punk 05-02-2019 02:48 PM

I got tired of em. I got tired of most hip hop rap ish stuff. I can’t tell you who’s dope and who’s not.

ScHoolboy Q, Saviii 3rd, and rjmrla are a few of the only dudes I follow in that field if we’re talking industry. I listen to a lot of underground music. More than I’ve ever did before.

V3NOMOUS 05-02-2019 02:58 PM

Just rap in general bro...Whether it be Hip-Hop, or Underground... Old or New

Punk 05-02-2019 03:08 PM

In that case I can listen to old Eminem any day. Eminem from 2010 and up I don’t know who that person is.

V3NOMOUS 05-02-2019 03:56 PM

I'd have to agree...Em was dope with his old shyt but now IDK wtf happened

Seul 05-02-2019 04:18 PM

In my humble opinion, I think Eminem's first three albums are better than anything put out by anyone else, ever. Subjective... but due to this, he sits tied at #1 for me. (along with 2Pac).

Here's my order of his albums:

#1. Marshall Mathers LP
#2. Slim Shady LP
#3. The Eminem Show
#4. Recovery
#5. Encore
#6. Relapse
#7. Kamikaze
#8. Marshall Mathers LP 2
#9. Revival

I ain't feeling his rippity-rap too much, tbh. He could still put together multi's before, but he wasn't going over-board on them like he does now.

Punk 05-02-2019 04:27 PM

Sad because Eminem didn’t even really use Multis like that. Now he’s just over doing it because the blind listeners hear those multis and immediately think it’s some god tier lyrical shit.

Some like Criminal, Cum on Everybody, Stan, kill you, real slim shady, etc no serious multis, just pure entertainment.

Today, if Eminem said “strategizing habits in the back of a cabin with an addict,” niggas start home aloning their faces

EtH 05-02-2019 05:09 PM

"Eminem needs to move on from the diss stuff and go back to making songs like Not Afraid".

I'm not an Eminem fan at all but this is fucking hilarious. The dude can never win.

Punk 05-02-2019 05:32 PM

Not afraid is terrible lmao

Frosty the Bat 05-02-2019 07:22 PM

Dizaster would destroy Eminem in a battle!!

Solo Fives 05-03-2019 01:54 AM

No matter what dude is a rap legend but I do feel his era is up and I dont blame him for switching up style to stay a household name but his new flow is just soo not him and its cringe at times idk its that choppy flow I cant stand it but again he already has made a name for himself in rap but hes trying to hard now

Zaicwon 05-03-2019 02:46 AM

Em the GOAT (not too many people can throw in dope wordplay, multis, and metaphors into a song and make it all make sense and go along with the subject matter at hand)
Pac #2 (just cuz he was my idol as a kid) but Ludacris still my favorite

Frosty the Bat 05-03-2019 03:26 AM

Eminem isnt the fucking goat, tf is this shit

Who's better than Eminem all round?

Godbody 05-03-2019 10:51 AM

Nas is better than Eminem imo. Jay-Z, off longevity & consistency alone, has a stronger GOAT argument than both Nas and Em.

Eminem's best work was a decade or more ago. I had him in my Top 3 for the longest but he's probably Top 5 all time to me. Idc how much wack shit he puts out now, the amount of fire he put out even down to the Freestyles (I've heard at least 20) where he just snapped is crazy.

Ice Bear 05-03-2019 11:34 AM

Eminem is certainly my greatest inspiration as far as rap goes, and he'll always be the G.O.A.T to me. I've got his albums ranked at:
#1: The Marshall Mathers LP
#2: Kamikaze
#3: Recovery
#4: The Eminem Show
#5: Relapse
#6: The Marshall Mathers LP 2
#7: The Slim Shady LP
#8: Infinite
#9: Encore
#10: Revival

Yeah, I know this ranking is not exactly what you'd expect (except maybe that Revival is at the bottom). I'll answer questions if you have any, but if no one cares, I'm not gonna go all out and type a bunch of shit for no reason.

Solo Fives 05-03-2019 01:03 PM

Dont forget MF Doom one of the most well rounded tech rappers out there. But to not give anyone the throne and discredited alot of good artist EM made a name for himself in a legendary fashion but his time is truly up

I disagree. MF Doom says witty shit every once in a blue but I don't really think he's all that great. He knows a few things about rhyme schemes and metaphors but he says a lot of silly shit like a Sean Price (R.I.P.) ..but he's def entertaining to listen to

I was disappointed when he dropped that series of tracks with Adult Swim a year or 2 ago cuz some of them verses were recycled

Seul 05-03-2019 01:27 PM

Yeah, I checked out MF Doom after I heard all the commotion about him - but I wasn't impressed.

Didn't he do a performance with someone else actually under the mask? Like it wasn't even him.

joan of arc 05-03-2019 05:52 PM

em is trash to me. a clown rapper, and even when he gets serious he's just average. never been into him cept for maybe a few songs.

list of rappers that shit on these mentions including naz/jayz

1. aesop rock
2. vast aire (can ox)
3. el-p
4. sage francis
5. black thought (the roots)

joan of arc 05-03-2019 05:54 PM

also mf doom isn't the best out there, sure, but he's completely unique and inspires many of the best. his flow, beat choice, and rhyme skill all superb.

V3NOMOUS 05-11-2019 11:57 PM

Damn...When I started this topic didnt think I'd find so many who ain't into Em LoL, was just out of boredom really, but as far as he goes I dig Em just not so much into his dis so he anymore, and as for the G.O.A.T of rap, that just depends on ur taste for the music...Some may say MGK, 6IX9INE or other mumble rappers if that's ur kind of rap while others may say Biggie, Pac, Easy E or Ice Cube if ya into older rap... As for me I enjoy underground rap, the ones who ain't made it to fame yet... Hell even some youtuber rappers...Only cause they do them and aint makin' their songs bout the same basic shit most rappers write bout now...Mostly like the ones who aint afraid to spill the truth bout them selves and hold nothin' back...The o es who make it IMO stuff puttin'out some good shyt cause they made it and dont think they got nothin' to prove anymore...
But again this is IMHO, might not be the same for all or even none of y'all

EtH 05-12-2019 11:04 AM

So basically you're into Eminem except he's too famous?

JayDiamondScarFace 05-13-2019 02:58 PM

I don't know abbondon em is a good rapper,he did supportt some other rappers, and crew D12,his a white rapper so he's kinda byais between black or other colored rappers, some his music bumps and yeah he's pretty good

V3NOMOUS 05-17-2019 08:18 AM

Nah not at all...I do t hi on ppl success, Ok m into EMs actual music just not so much into his 'new day hate disses' I do t feel the fact that he himself seems to H8 on all the new rappers success cause he not ready for his era to be up

EtH 05-17-2019 08:26 AM

So he's out here collaborating with Kendrick or Logic but if he dislikes the nonsense mumble rappers he just "hates on the new age guys".

V3NOMOUS 05-17-2019 08:34 AM

Have u not heard his Kamikaze album? He disses on just about every new rapper out there and has no beef with either...All because they dont make music to his standards... Rap is changing and he cant seem to understand it so he just disses ppl without cause

Skizzo 05-17-2019 08:35 AM

G.o.a.t

And how many of them are actually talented "rappers". He's still collaborating with the lyricists. Rap isn't changing. Some faggots with face tattoos and lethargically repeating themselves into a mic and everyone who lives rap hates it.

Celsius 05-18-2019 12:48 PM

One of the last few mainstream rappers that can also lay a dope diss..y'all seen the last few XXL cyphers? Trash.

V3NOMOUS 05-18-2019 01:46 PM

Rap is like everything else in life...The only thing that makes rappers G.O.A.Ts or Trash is just the opinion of the person listening to it...Some may say Em is the G.O.A.T cause the way he can spit and some may say just cause he can spit fast doesn't mean he can make good music...I mean check out Mac Lethal, that dude can rap circles round Em {speed wise} but dont mean p think he a G.O.A.T...Hell any1 can dis another in a song...We on LB do it daily...But only a few of us can actually write a decent rap song...So again...Some1 is only as good as the person listening to them thinks they are {opinions}

Punk 05-18-2019 02:06 PM

2Pac is the goat, stop debating

Ice Bear 05-29-2019 11:41 AM

Em is the GOAT, but he's fell off lately. Kamikaze was dope, but Revival was trash. It wasn't horrible by any means, but it's not Em's best at all.

Unpopular opinion: Relapse was fuckin dope. I loved the whole villain persona Em took on (it's different from Slim Shady).

I didn't really like Eminem going into Relapse but it was the final straw for me. Thought that album was top to bottom dogshit.

Ironically I think I'm rare in that Recovery might be his best album.

Me too, I fuckin love Recovery, get's way too much hate.

Production of it was great. Definitely a bit more radio friendly but I don't see anything wrong with that.

No Love was also dope as fuck.

Take a listen to Relapse again. 3AM and Insane are great horrorcore songs. I love horrorcore, so I find those two to be great. Same Song And Dance is pretty good for horrorcore too. We Made You, Crack A Bottle, and Beautiful are okay for casual listening as well.

The second part to 3AM, Framed, is on Revival. Framed is one of my favorite Em songs, incidentally, even though I hate Revival.
