Universal Deadline Times?
Currently, the deadline for a specific tournament is up to the mod/admin hosting the tournament.
Do you think all tournaments should have a universal deadline time? Example: All tournaments end at 11:59PM EST. Please cast your vote, and/or discuss below. |
Yes. Sets a specific standard that everyone will understand in regards to deadlines and what to expect from here on out.

I mean, unless were gonna actually enforce deadlines that shit doesnt make a difference. Start enforcing it everytime. No extensions. No excuses. Couple tourneys might go by kinda bare but once people realize their serious they will plan for em. We enable shit behavior by not adhering to the rules.

Hopefully, anyways. I'll try taking the reins on this during the next tournament I run. |

Just to mention... I think Aggo's point can coexist with the universal deadline idea, I can only see it being beneficial.

Wait so people will actually get disqualified if they don’t post on time? No way!

Seems legit, it makes sense to set a standard and post that with the initial tournament sign-ups so people have the deadline in mind before agreeing to join, for example: Posting is due 3 days from the start of the round and battles close in 3 or 4 days.
As far as time zone we should use GMT -8 since that's what the system is set too, at the bottom of each page in the forums it says All times are GMT -8. The time now is XX:XX PM. |

Usually I hate when things are set to American time, but PST would give people the most time to post so I think that makes sense. Back when I was in tournaments and shit I'd always post at like 3am GMT. Midnight PST means the few Californian folk get until midnight and everyone else gets extra.

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 07:14 AM. |
