What if we...

....Made an Orange user group for people who win secondary titles, similar to the GC group? The only difference is you'd have to win multiple orange titles (at least 2) to get your name in orange? Do you guys think that may be a good incentive for participating in some of the staff tournaments? Somebody like @Row or @Dono would be good examples since they have multiple orange titles.

Row 03-06-2018 12:41 PM

Yes!!!!!

Edit: not just for me but the feat of getting multiple oranges should be honored . I don't see why not

Seul 03-06-2018 12:50 PM

I don't think it'd be a bad idea, but I am interested in what others think.

Bape 03-06-2018 01:00 PM

Yh do it. The more incentives in enter tourneys the better.

NOBLE 03-06-2018 01:04 PM

You guys think we should set it where you have to win two orange titles or three?

Row 03-06-2018 01:04 PM

3 is a good number imo , since 3 amounts to, or surpasses, the point value for GC's

Aggo 03-06-2018 01:23 PM

I'd be down with that. I doubt it changes anything activity wise, but recognition is always nice.

Lockhart 03-06-2018 01:29 PM

I agree with this, as well. The more people get recognized on the site, the more people will get involved to earn that recognition.

Brickrepper 03-06-2018 02:14 PM

Yea sounds good...also how bout making a medal for the heavyweight, middleweight, and lightweight class, run a tournament for each class

Not sure if we got enough traffic for that.

Row 03-06-2018 02:24 PM

+ determining whos in which class is subjective

Lockhart 03-06-2018 02:50 PM

Elevation is another key factor in that. Not sure if a person who elevates to heavy-status wants a medal saying they're a middleweight.

lllllllllllll 03-06-2018 02:54 PM

Don’t put a limit on it. It’ll legit be like 1-2 people with orange names lol

DjNarcotize 03-06-2018 03:15 PM

All for this idea. #PutAStampOnIt

You would only be able to hold one medal..if your middleweight and challenge a heavyweight n win u gain the heavyweight n lose the middleweight..then run a tourney for the middleweight. And deciding who’s in wat class would be left up to the individual, if your a lightweight and u challenge for the middleweight..most likely u won’t win anyway..I believe this would encourage everyone to elevate..getting notice for being a low tier is always good, as with the rest of da classes

KG The Prince 03-06-2018 03:46 PM

Good idea, more recognition for those who deserve it

Student 03-07-2018 02:33 PM

I'd say 2 titles otherwise that first win could've been a fluke
3 would make it too exclusive, going back to where we don't have that many members so this is a way to give merit to those really doing it in titles and not signing up to flake out later like this fuckface <-- lol but yeah, I'm all in for this idea

Seul 03-07-2018 05:00 PM

Ask Jeeves

Student 03-07-2018 05:17 PM

Row, Dono, RhetoriK, MAN DOWN, Skizzo, Manhattan and Dean would all receive orange names if this happens, going off you need 2 titles to obtain the orange name.

Row 03-07-2018 05:22 PM

Bring back an orange title tourney and make it 3 imo

Seul 03-07-2018 05:48 PM

For someone like Manhattan, I don't think the orange name should over-ride the Blue one. The blue name should remain the most prestigious.

I agree. In my opinion, 1 GC title is worth more than 10 orange titles, in more or less the same way that having the World Chess Champion title is more important than being a National Master of 10 countries.

wait, what?!

Row 03-07-2018 08:24 PM

i disagree lool

EDIT: missed the "imo".

Saiyan 03-07-2018 09:43 PM

Orange titles is a good idea. Weight classes? Not so much on board with that one.

Seems pretty unanimous. I'll get this done right now and add these people. We'll set it at two orange titles minimum. Let me know if there are other people with at least two orange titles.

SIDENOTE: What do you guys think about us removing the Exclusive Member and Basic Member titles? So instead of having these default titles under your name, it'll just be your name alone if you haven't won anything or aren't staff?

At the moment, you can't buy Exclusive and can get it on request, right?

Seul 03-08-2018 12:38 PM

Yeah, since there is no difference between exclusive and basic anymore, just remove those titles imo.

Row 03-08-2018 12:42 PM

hey nob dont forget about the user legend

Aggo 03-08-2018 12:43 PM

Yeah, I would say drop exclusive/regular member titles.

Yea, exclusive is free. People don't even have to ask sometimes. If I see some on that's still basic and they are an active member, I'd just add it to their profile without them even asking.
It made more sense when exclusive was paid as an added incentive that you also get this shiny yellow title. But now that everyone has exclusive, it looks like a title people haven't earned that devalues titles overall because everyone has them. I want titles to be more "exclusive" and reserve it only for people that have won something.

Student 03-08-2018 05:10 PM

@Manhattan shouldn't even have the GC title though, ShotsFired won that tournament not him, so yeah, he should have an orange title.

Also agree on removing Exclusive / Basic titles.

Please stop

Aggo 03-09-2018 11:07 AM

What are we calling orange names. Blue names are grand champs. Orange are bland champs?
