It should be simple...You hit up a leader in a crew, y'all pick 3-5 people each and set-up the battles, battles go down, more wins = winning.

Good Idea here... I always thought forum based crew battles were more entertaining. Haven't seen one in years but its pretty simple.. Just set it up in the forums.
