Any other daily carry gun folks here?
I'm still waiting for my license to show up in the mail but I'm already hating the inside of the waistband holster I got. I've been wearing it around the house and on my property just to get used to it being there and it's terrible. It's not really comfortable at all. I'm thinking about switching to an outside the waistband/on the belt holster. Indiana doesn't require you to conceal your weapon so if it peeks out under my shirt or something it's not really a huge deal. What do you guys do?

I have a concealed carry permit. But, I seldom carry my fire arm physically on my person when going out. I do when going somewhere I've never been before, though.
|
I have a glock and a roscoe but I don't use it
Unless I want to kill a bitch nigga like Eth |
I only leave my house with an AK-47 in each hand and 3,000 rounds around my waist.

Yeeeeeeep bout' that time to look into this, for protection's sake (plus cheaper rates @ gun ranges)

All that said, I'm already looking for another gun. The idiots at hi-point decided that the 9mm pistol and 9mm carbine should have different magazines and that's dumb and totally not what I want. If I had thought to research that I probably would have saved a little longer and picked something else because that's my end goal. A 9mm pistol and carbine and eventually something in .306 and a 12g. Unless I find a .45 pistol and carbine that share a mag and then I'm probably going to want that too. At the point the 9mms will probably go next to the squirrel guns I don't ever use anymore. |
Learn how to fight or run and you won't need a gun.
|
As a Brit this conversation seems so ridiculous. No one needs to walk around with a gun and if you think you need to walk around with a gun then you definitely shouldn't be walking around with a gun.
|
Some states can do it....if Jersey allowed people to carry, Id move.

You'd say no one needs to walk around with a bullet proof vest in an area where no one has ever been shot, too. It's completely relative to the situation you're speaking about, to me. |
I got my permit, i hardly carry in places with me but i keep it in my glove box. 9mm Smith and Wesson M&P. 17 round ext clip w/ custom grip
|
I personally use a shoulder holster, comfortable enough to forget it's there usually.

Anybody seen or tried one of these? |
When I'm worried about comfort and concealing, I slip my Ruger LCP in my front or back pocket (depending on if I'm sitting for long periods of time). Anything else gets uncomfortable after too long. I have an inside-the-waist holster that work decent with my LCP and my 9. Always nice to have options. Every day is different so carrying the same gun the same way everyday doesn't always work. I wouldn't plan on taking my 7 rd. .380 into a dangerous situation, but its easy to slip in the pocket of a pair of shorts in case of emergency, when concealing my 9mm would be impossible and uncomfortable. Find what works for you and make sure you practice, drawing and shooting over and over again when you find a comfortable carry.

got that M4 my dude

In actuality, what happens is one dude walks over to another one and shoots the fuck out of him. No gunfight, just one dude shooting another one, whether the dead dude had a holster or not. Fuck your gun laws. |

Sure, but when you're facing time in jail and being fined out the ass just for having one, black market prices rise and financially it becomes much more difficult to own a gun. If people are so shit scared of their houses being broken into, buy an alarm or a dog. Just don't touch the dog inappropriately like Nick does. |

I do practice drawing and getting sight picture and all that as often as I can. |

Both of my listed scenarios have also happened, here's a good map to put that across better than my words can http://dailycaller.com/2016/01/05/gu...ers-criminals/ Of the nearly 200 cases we analyzed, people carrying guns saved at least 283 potential victims. Even still, beyond all that shit, I actually agree that the system is trash. Though until we wizen up I'd much rather be the guy who can adequately defend himself than the guy who simply disagrees with the situation and brings words to a gunfight. |
I'd probably have a gun if I was in America. I wouldn't carry it around with me, same way I don't carry a knife with me here, but why not have one if I'm allowed?
The problem is people are stupid, and I wouldn't be comfortable knowing that people can just walk around with guns and make the same stupid decisions they already make. Yesterday I saw two junkies get into a fight in a crowded area outside my house. If there was guns...some shit could have happened. |

'Merica needs to switch to a more U.K-like gun control system. |
The police should absolutely not be armed in America. Their duty is to serve and protect the people (the slogan might be PD specific but the thought behind it spreads across them all). If there is a possibility of a person being shot by a police officer who doesn't deserve to be shot, or a police officer being shot by a criminal, the latter should always be what happens. The police are supposed to protect the people, it should be their lives on the line before any innocent persons.

shit everywhere ive lived has damn near zero gun laws easy to buy and open carry requires no license. purchasing only reqs a background check. alot of people in here talking shit like damn jealous much.
