Down for a month lol? That makes 0 sense. That means development isn't even complete. Why shut the site down for a month there is 0 reason. If the changes were ready the site should only b down for a couple minutes. The database isnt even being touched. Don't see why they don't just have a test site and do development there and then deploy here when it is ready. By the looks of this post they haven't even started development and thats why they are taking the site down for a month and working on it here.. lmao.

they don't know how to develop. if they did they wouldnt be taking the main site down to code on it for a month.

Lmao, probably because I ALONE have been saying "get a team of developers to fix this place" since 2012, and that, matched with any other suggestions I've made have been met with incredulous silence. That doesn't even mention the actual acolytes of activity that have been doing that since YEARS before my join date.

This doesn't even compare to the fact that even the OPTION of shutting the entire fucking site down for a MONTH shows that for some reason they can't just use the ALREADY EXISTING dev version of this site to do what they're saying like theyve done with every other update in the history of lb...

what other people are saying in here is true. there's no need to shut down the site. a good developer can take all the shit LB has and rehaul it while we use the site simultaneously. but i could give a shit cuz I log on this site 2-3 times a month, if that, and maybe log 20 minutes total/month. so...fingers crossed

We've had a mirror site for as long as I can remember, can't you just use that? Wouldn't be surprised if the site never returns.

Lmao I said approximately a month.. it may be less.. we are going to be changing our server provider simultaneously with the relaunch as well as doing a promotional campaign for it... because of the database transfer we will be down anyway so It makes sense to just take the site down while we implement everything.. it'll also give us the appropriate time to work out any kinks once it's live.. If yall want I'll see about just leaving the forums up for you...just have a little faith in the process.. the key feature will be an easy to navigate mobile version of the site with record and playback working from your device...

Hopefully the new version won't be so buggy. @Babylon you ain't been the only one saying that lol, I've said that bugs and convoluted navigation were the site's top reason for failing this whole time. People loved it so much back in the day, they were willing to put up with it, but as the excitement died down that frustration took over. Also, there have been a whole lot of empty promises to fix things over the years, and people gave up hope. After people started to leave the site, it was a domino effect and the lack of activity became the number one reason new users didn't stay. That being said, I still have faith in this shit Pugz is about to do. I'm not sure if it will be any sort of cure for Pugz as far as saving the site as a business, but I'm sure it will at least make me want to be more active personally. I'm feeling positive about this. Good luck Pugz.

Having a cypher / live battle room built into the site would be dope.. I know a lot of the audio heads on here used to go on FreestyleMadness & miss it.. If that feature got added I think it would definitely attract some people.

FreestyleMadness had literal cypher rooms.. Buncha beats on shuffle.. People spittin back to back on a 45 or 60 second timer can't remember which.. Goin down a line in order, it was dope.

LB had a userplane chat, similar to tinychat, in which multiple people could cam/mic up at a time. I don't recall if you could play beats there, or not, though.
