The 5 A Week Team
 

So I've got this whole plan together of a way to get activity up on the site and bring in new members. The first part of this was remembering what made me enjoy the site. While there's a few more factors which I'll want to work on (a big crew idea I might propose later), the first and foremost thing was the availability to battle constantly. Open battles constantly being posted was an important part of this as I could just jump on an open any time I wanted. This seems to be an aspect of the site which has kind of died out now. Hence this thread.

I want to try and put together a team of people who are up for dropping 5 open battles a week starting from the beginning of June. The battles can vary in quality, whatever, but the entire goal is to give new members something to be involved in.

Ideally, I'd like to get about 10 people signed up for this, which would mean 50 battles a week minimum in the opens and 200-250 a month.

Some people have signed up via chatbox or the ims but we'll start again and do sign ups in here and hopefully get it filled up pretty quick. I've talked to some mods about potential rewards but we can think about stuff like that at a later date.


We'll also track the progress in here to see who's living up to their end of the deal.

While great in theory, I suspect that this will be as useful as 2FUEL's FVC quotas.

I dislike the idea of the FVC in the first place tbh.

But really, I'm trying to create like a "team" of people who equally want to put work into the site. Got some other ideas going on behind the scenes with some people. If people actually do want the site to get back to where it was, they'll start by pitching in to this. If they don't...then the only members left on the site don't want to help it so what chance do we have anyways?

how bout this, whoever commits and fulfils their 5 opens a week, will each get 9credits.. whoever has the highest win percentage out of the amount of opens they drop,they will get 15 credits.. and whoever drops the most opens in a given month will recieve 30 credits.. so the top in 2 categories can ideally win 45 credits in all..keep in mind, only those that signup are eligible for the prizes

My mind right now is let's fucking forget Pugz and whatever else. Members exhausted most things we can do but there's a couple of things we can try.

Tbh I don't know why I made a "list". Like if someone is busy and gets 3 battles out I'm hardly gonna complain. But if you can try your best to get some opens out there then it'll help the cause. First step is giving new guys something to do..second step is getting the new guys.

I think Illo's contribution sounds good af as long as you line up the credits so that they're more parallel with the consumption to battle. Good idea though.

On the stingy note, is credits like important to maintain lowly? I feel like if anything being less stingy with them would make the site more active, give members more to do. Hopefully it just doesn't limit voting, because I could see that being a shitty outcome. I know I personally wouldn't vote that much if I could just get credits by dropping battles, which is a same.

Not sure if I was here before pugz lol think I came just in time. Either way, the members kept this site alive. Even without updates and that highly anticipated V4.

I might fuck with the google ads. You should just make new LB Facebook accounts or Twitter or whatever social media stuff y'all was talking about. Top their shit and see how they like it.

I've worked with Row a bit and he's alright with us moving forward now. He doesn't have access to the Twitter though.

@Paperclip no bother. Another idea I have is getting guys out on other sites (I'd probably go on Sherdog and maybe a wrestling forum) and post under the username Letsbeef.com with a link in the sig. Post legit opinions, maybe like 5 posts a day or some shit, but people will see the message.

Rewards? Im guessing that bread was spent on plane tickets to LA Battlegrounds....but there is an Award I'd be glad to hand out for 'ideas incorporated into LB' or something along those lines. Hit 'request award' and Im sure youll get it....not that its as good as money or public recognition or any of that.

The site being active and entertaining is the best reward i could ask for.
