Idea: delete/merge boards, Add new ones
this site still get hella forums for no reason...makes the site look mad spread out and looks bad for the activity
if we merged hella forums and deleted the least important shit everything would be easier to find The 2nd section of the forums...the "Letsbeef.com Happenings" tf we got so many forums for? You could take the LB Promotions, Contests, Contest Sign-Ups, & Tournaments board and merge them into a "Letsbeef Archive" board.. merge the LB Statistics board at the bottom of the forum in the HOF section with the Site News & Updates as a sub-forum or just merge them completely Audio, Text, & Topical Lounge? Why not just have a "Battle Lounge" and make it everyone's lounge? or make the Audio, Text, & Topical each a subforum under Battle Lounge? & throw in crew battles there too. Support Section should cover Bugs, complaints, and Ideas instead of having 3 separate forums...that shit looks dumb. If the site got flooded with 20 posts in each category a day it'd make sense but the site is too inactive to have 3 dedicated forums for the Support section add a Blackmarket forum with a downloads board and cash battles etc lol |

I suggested a reorganization a while back. I think I even presented a shortened version of the boards. Never went anywhere. Honestly, it really does need to be pared down a LOT.

Warez forums are some of the biggest communities out there..You want this shit to grow? Its almost mandatory to have a black market/warez section and offer something of value that'll give people an incentive to pay for membership. Thats like baby marketing 101 type of shit
lol it probably wouldn't work here because its inactive af and I doubt Pugz has anything of value that'd be worth paying for membership just to access some downloads I know sites that have webmasters making 5 figures a month because they offer cracked programs and w/e and niggas be paying like $100 memberships or like $5/month or some shit...when your site has 10,000 ppl that shit adds up |

Here's an outline of what the forums currently look like (to someone who's not a staff member, FVC, or VIP). Please offer your suggestions on how it should be condensed and which forums need to be merged or renamed. Also, please keep in mind that a lot of different ideas will come into play (from everyone in this thread as well as the staff discussion) and we might not end up with YOUR particular version but we will end up with some version of a condensed forum. I like most of your ideas @OSKAR minus the Audio Tourney Schedule and Text Tourney Schedule boards. I'd just put that under the LetsBeef Happenings as a sub forum or something. or under LB News & Updates board.
Don't like the Live Events having a subforum for every location. Add a new board after every event? I think a thread would be enough And idk if 'About LB' is a good name for that first board. But everything else is on the money diggin that Black Market board too. I think you presented the best reformatting of the forums so far that shit look clean af... @Pugz @NOBLE @Student @Mindless @Babylon @Punk I mean, u could arguetheres too many subforums in your reformatting but aside from that its definitely the best presentation i've seen |
Ye maybe change the About LB to Letsbeef Happenings (as we currently have it) and add another forum under 'Announcements' and call it 'Tournament Schedule'..Or maybe merge the Tournament Schedule in the announcements?

contests, tourney schedules, rule changes, LB magazine, etc etc would fall under that 1 board instead of having dedicated boards or sub forums |

I'd personally Like the Live Events to have a sub forum for each location. I mean, if you ever wanna go back and check a battle out you can just easily access it as sub forums imo are an organised way of displaying content. It'll also show new users that the site is constantly doing shit so maybe we'll get more of our guests to register? I dunno.
Three sub forums per page isn't that bad. I mean dividing up the HOF & FVC in their respective sections is much more organised and saves space. Other than that I agree that the Tournament Schedule should stand out more. Crew, Topical and Video Battles don't direct to much traffic so we should stick em all together...(Plus i came up with a creative name for the forum...i mean C.C.T.V?! BARS) |
The thing is having a sub forum for each location is gonna create clutter all over again. It'd only make sense if LB had live events like monthly or some shit like KOTD & that place was revisited a few times. Imagine there's a 1 time event somewhere in Colorado. We gonna make a sub forum just for that Colorado event? An entire forum dedicated to an event that happened one time? An entire forum for 6 battles?
Wouldn't it make more sense to have a sticky/pinned thread "LB Colorado __(event name)__" "LB New York __(event name)__" imo it'd only make sense to have sub boards for each location if they were constantly revisited & LB was really active in that live battling scene. like if LB had 3 events each in NY/Cali it'd make sense to make a board for them |
I get what you're saying. So far we are doing 1 event per four months which is not bad, considering this is our first year doing it. It's clear that Live Events are Pugz focal point so this forum's intended to be an archive of all events. Treat this like our gallery page
Anyway if y'all don't like it we can replace the idea. I'm sure what I've put out so far is not the final format. |
Also @Student I don't think LB Radio needs to have a forum. We can easily stick the latest episode on top of the forum page (like we did in the past) and anyone who wants to listen to previous episodes can just click on the player to view the list
