lol @ saying his bars are basic

They were basic. just a bunch of multis doesn't make them not basic. most of the stuff was just personals and insults, anything that had a setup was basic as fuck. like "if ur hungry on the mic im a chef" lmfao

Point out a bar and prove me wrong.

Isn't it funny how when people do diss tracks their writing gets worse and the bars in text/audio battles are 10000x better?

Jesse Pinkman 05-11-2015 07:18 AM

to answer your question with a question, what makes them basic? because you think they are? its completely subjective..and you complain because his insults are personal, yet personal insults are what make a diss track

the fact people are still trying to compare a song to a text verse says it all..i understand this is a texting site, but stop being so naive..two undeniable facts - one, there are restrictions when doing a song that do not exist when texting a verse..its the prime reason battle rappers never make it as songwriters..you ask for his set-ups, yet fail to see that "set-up" is a texting term..its apples to oranges..two, this song would not be anything close to what it is now without the energy and performance the artist gave it..the energy/performance breathe life into the song, give it a personality..theyre components you cannot fake, and without them you might as well be reading a poem in grade school

end of the day, you're trying to take away credit from where its due

AfterThought 05-11-2015 07:52 AM

Yep, saw this a week or two ago, shits dope

J u s T C 05-11-2015 08:51 AM

Subreal you're pretty wet behind the ears and naive when it comes to the subject of diss tracks. It sticks out like a sore thumb that you're speaking from limited experience.

Diss tracks

Vivid and damaging story telling of a personal first hand experience expressed with believable conviction and personality to put your opponent on blast >>>>> pretty much everything else.

Punches can't beat the truth unless the retort has more damaging truth to counter act it.

He attacked guys character.

Plus it's not like he didn't swerve off into straight punches and multi scheming to style on him for good measure and to mix things up a little.

I can't believe there are actually faggots that don't know the difference between diss track writing and battle writing.

Too bad he isn't a good enough writer to tie that energy and performance in with actual good bars

Ya'll are dumb as fuck and all of you suck ass.

and that 2:20-2:40 part was just MULTIS thats it. no creativity, just insults. And the multis were broken he couldn't even sustain it even though it was only like 4 syllables max lol

Denton 05-12-2015 12:53 AM

@Subreal

A track filled with 'battle bars' in a text format would sound like pure dogshit

Why do you guys keep bringing up text? Even the audio bars on this site are way better than that

how many times have you caught yourself listening to someone like kendrick or whoever, and go "i would've used a different word there" or "sounds like he's just trying to finish the rhyme scheme"? if it happens to people in your iPod, its going to happen with people on rap websites for sure..in my opinion, battles verses are meant to be dissected, where as tracks are meant be enjoyed..there are so many components involved, that getting caught up on a stretched syllable every once and awhile is plain picky..and with that i'll argue the "simplicity" of his structure within 2:20-2:40 is what makes that portion what it is..the only drawback from what Just C posted is that the guys uses the same style throughout the song - 5 minutes of the same flow and rhyme scheme set-up..but that was never mentioned before now

UhMAZING 05-15-2015 01:09 AM

You guys know, although the link for the video has been removed...if you hover the title of this thread it still contains the link...lol.

The diss was ok, but the most hilarious part was reading the lyrics.
