2015 Audio Tag Team Tournament: Sign Ups
 

I'll be hosting the Audio Tag Team Tournament this year. It's an Orange-titled staff tournament which comes with a title, 6 months Exclusive, trophies for the winners as well as emcee items. This tournament will be held in the tournament brackets. It will be 2 minutes over a beat with both you and your partner spitting against your opponents. Participants can make a track which I can upload manually for you into the tourney brackets so you don't have to record your recording and lose quality. We're looking for at least 16 teams. I'll settle for 8 teams if we're really that short on sign ups. No less than that though. If we can't get at least 8 teams to sign up for this, then we just won't have it.

That IS the case... we're making 2 minute tag team diss tracks and you can submit them to me so that I place it in the tournament brackets for you. Having the competition there makes it easier for people to vote on (rather than by poll), and submitting it to me rather than recording it over a mic means you won't lose sound quality.

You can be as professional and edit it all you want, just don't use anyone else's voice beside you and your partner's

He's basically saying u can drop a studio produced track, it just has to be you and your teamate on it. Which I like because goldmic did this format of battling back in the day.

What's gonna be the prep time between knowing your opponent and dropping the actual battle?

Working as a tag team and dropping a 2 min audio I just assume its gonna take a Lil longer with production time esp considering your collaborating. And its not like the person you are collaborating with is gonna be next to you all day every day.

I'm sure some of y'all are curious about this as well.

I was thinking we'd have a week between rounds. 5 day to write, record and post...2 days for voting. Sounds fair?

Isn't the norm for voting 3 days? I think it takes a lot more work and time writing, brainstorming and producing with another artist to make a track rather then laying it all down by yourself. And the time for that also deserves a legit amount if time to get a decent amount of voters for all the battles.

I would prefer 7 days to write record and post, and 3 days for voting. And I think that 7 days is more then a reasonable amount of time to not drag the tourney out any longer then it should be.

But that's just my opinion @NOBLE

Esp if its only 8 teams. Ittl be a 3 week tourney. Maybe month tops if people agree on delays which their shouldn't be with the amount of time given.

Well, let's hear from more people. Personally, I think 7 days to post would make the tourney drag and people might lose interest/procrastinate cause they feel they have all the time in the world. And yea, since we only have 8 teams, we can afford to use a bit more time. We're already starting late in the month and we want to have this wrapped up before the next bracket tourney in April.

Fuck it..we'll just do 7 days to post and 3 days of voting like @Mob_Figure suggested.

Its a legit time, and nobody should have excuses for that amount of time. It makes that I need an extra day shit obsolete.
