Do you want to see a different spin on the tournaments for 2015? Drop your ideas below. For Audio section I'm thinking of bringing back Beast Mode and maybe do a variant into the text arena. I want to make the Concept Tournament an ongoing thing as well. So drop your ideas below

Scheme, Theme, One Bar, GC, Topical GC. If you're gonna do a Text Beast Mode Variant then only have 1 GC and the Beast Mode will count as a different form of the GC.

As for Audio, same thing, maybe try an Audio Theme, Scheme, GC, Beast Mode.

That's if we can get the audio side popping.

That's the basis for doing a GC variant. I want some life back into the Audio section but the main focus is on what is effective at the moment. Hopefully oskar gets back from vacation. I do want to see Theme, Schemes and more One Bars. Especially the Topical GC. @EtH how would you want this coordinated? I'd love to do brackets with it

Back in the day Beast Mode was an Audio GC Variation which was entirely invitational I believe. it granted a blue title. @Krhyme Killz is a winner of it

In the essence of the glory of a GC title its no different, however it does make you stand out as being different from the others, bragging rights, plus its also invitational so only the BEST can compete thus making it a slugfest of a tourny. It'll be watered down since its out of its glory days. Your other ideas. I want some things that would be big enough for a respective title. I do wanna do smaller tournaments for Emcee items and exclusive. I'll keep them in consideration man

Topicals will NEVER take place in the brackets as long as I'm in charge. The last one was abysmal imo.

But that aside, topicals harder to pick out because it really relies heavier on timing than most of the others. I'm not going to have the events on the calendars but I'll make sure I do it at the right time for both topicals' sake and to not step on the toes of any other tournaments going on at the same time.

I'll take your word since you're more experienced in the matter. Topical Grand Champion deserves its glory with a sweet title. Me and you should discuss this later.

Anonymous tournament? like the ATT?

No, he means like.. No names shown I believe. Like (Battler 1 vs. Battler 2.) Kind of like how the topical is done where everyone gets a number. That'd be pretty dope.

Before we got topicals on LB, I was setting up an anonymous text tourney. Illimit, Olde English, UA and Askari off the top were interested in returning after long layoffs for it, but when I hit them up after they said they wanted in I didnt get enough replies.

see in text battles , people complain that certain people win because of their name, and it draws voters to vote for em cause of popularity. with a text tourney thats anonymous, it neutralizes that, voters vote strictly off of bars. and as an open, no one would know who they are writing to so it'd be like dropping an open verse.

I would like to see the Scheme Championship happen 2x a year. That's the one variation to a battle that I see happen the most. I was also talking with EtH yesterday about possibly making all tournaments invitational as it would incite more activity in the Basic Arena and give people more of a reason to battle outside of just sniping to get in to the GC.

What are you talking about? I can list more than 8 crews RIGHT now. 4 members from each crew, that's already 32 people. :S

Athletic tourney..gunbar etc. Would fall under theme...imo.

I agree and disagree with @Row at the same time lol. Jokes Over Bars as an official tourney would be dope. But the Anonymous idea in text i don't think would be as dope as you think. The reason it works in Topicals is cuz you're writing to a topic not a person. If it were in text and you had no idea who you were battling it would just be generic bars no name flips or personals (basically just gun bars cuz that's as generic as it gets)

We already got enough tourneys as it is. Theme Champion can include a sports topic as well so having an Atheltic Champion is a bad look imo. We got one bar, tag team, scheme, theme *it'll possibly be added as it's very popular', text topical & GC tourneys. I don't want to have a tournament run each month. A tournament is supposed to be a special occassion. A reason why alot of the tourneys are dead 'vote wise' is because of the high amount of tourneys. I guarantee you that if we had 2 GCs a year only like it used to be none of the rounds would have been slept on. I personally don't like to see anymore tournaments being added. The opposite actually, I'd like to see fewer tournaments popping just so we can focus on the LBAs and LBT throughout the year to get the basic arena poppin. If you guys feel that we don't have enough tournaments atm then feel free to make the transition to audio and participate in these tourneys to. You'll only do yourself and the site a favor if you try/do more of audio TRUST ME.

Now on the beast mode tourney point. This tourney occured during a period where the audio section was fuckin active. Back then we had a top 64 in the audio rankings that's why it was done in order to create a higher quality tournament than the GC. Nowadays this is not possible. Reason for this is because audio tournaments can't have 64 participants due to activity. All Audio GC tournaments are invitational so it kinda defeats the purpose of having a 'Beast Mode Tourney' nowadays which will basically be the GC but with a fancier title and name.

No Rookie Championship? I love how people like @Rainbow Dash @TerraByte and @SkiLLoSoPhY are getting put out in the rain without a chance at a title.

EDIT-EDIT: I also think the Theme Champion title was a great idea because it gets rid of all of the mini-tournaments that used to be ran in the forums (NBA, Heroes vs. Villains, Role-Play, etc).

ya need 8+ rookies imo to have a tournament. You just mentioned three people...if there were more rookies making an impact i'd be more than happy to have this tourney. BTW not everyone here has to/will win a title

@OSKAR We should probably look around and see who's a dope rookie then. That way they can get a tourney to pop off for 'em.

I'll try to find a way to view all the users that signed up this year and are good with it and I'll take down names..

adding tourneys to the audio section prolly won't help... just take a look at the Audio Topical Championship... There was sooo many no-shows, Lock didnt even have to battle anyone and he's already in the semi-finals LOL. Plus Mine & Dono's battle was broken for 3 weeks, and Mayneak finally decided to just have it int he basic arena... WORST TOURNEY EVER. It wouldnt even feel like an accomplishment to win that title.
