One Thing That Needs Fixed?
 

I'm bored of doing fuck all on here, so I'm going to put some time and attention into fixing one specific aspect of the site.

What do you feel needs fixed most? I'm obviously not talking about anything coding based or anything like that. I mean things like voting, battling activity, battling incentive etc. etc.

What do you want to see improved most and I'll put something together to improve it.

Give people a reason to be in the top 10 every month from now on. I know that's a broad statement, but anything beats what we have now in terms of incentives. I'm sorry, but I've never been a huge fan of the emcee items thing. That just seems... Juvenile to me. Sure I'll update my emcee once I finish in the top 10 or somethng because it's one of those "Aye, I kept activity going!" type of things, but I feel more can be done with making it more enjoyable and rewarding for being an active battler.

This. It's absolutely pathetic that there hasn't been an LBA card in the past 2 months and ever since RULE stopped having the reigns over it, it's gone downhill from there.

Audio battles seem to need the biggest kick in the ass in terms of activity, so that should definitely get the first look.

Insults me but dosen't mention me with @ so im more likely not to see it but he trys to look cool.

@EtH i say got a group of 4 people to set up a professional card every month .

Audio is something that would annoy me. The guys wouldn't really give a fuck about me as I have no authority in that field, plus it's a no show machine. Get a legitimate active audio guy to REALLY put the work into the section and something might come about, but we can't do shit about the absolutely abysmal talent level overall.

@Dysfunctional, trying to get a hand into LBT wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm thinking of starting with the top 10.

Any suggestions on ways to improve it? Right off the bat I'm thinking of a monthly feature magazine on the top 10, including profiles and interviews. Anything that you guys as battlers would WANT in reward for battling more?

I've said it before, I could easily get us over 100 new members by the end of 2014. Until @Pugz starts taking the site seriously, I'm just not putting in that much work. I've gave suggestions, he couldn't give a shit. The site is demotivated all round because he refuses to actually invest in the shit we want invested in. We don't want new ideas from the staff. We want what we want fixed, simple as that. I was in support originally, but fuck the live event. It's good promotion? Great. More people on a site everyone's pissed off about being on. They'll be gone in a week.

I'll do anything to help the site outside of advertising. It's something I'd commit a shit load to and until the site is a place worth being on (NOBLE's new skin will help for a start), there is no point bringing more passengers onto the sinking ship.

Would be nice but if it's not for a prize, peeps won't show.

LB was at it's absolute best when people were dropping insane amounts of battles. LB has something like 12 text battles opened right now. That's fucking ridiculous. As good as having high quality battles is, having battles is more important for the site as a whole.

I'm hoping some people want to try and do the same. If they see me doing an insane amount of battles, maybe they might think "Shit I'm beating EtH and getting top this month".

While doing that magazine or something would be alright for the top 10, look how many battles were done to get top this month. It's ridiculous. If one person on the site is doing things like the old school used to, then it might inspire new comers to the site or a couple of other guys to compete with me, reviving the top 10.

It's gonna take me a bit. I'm going to be writing a bit to get the streak first. After that, I'll take a month out to pre-write and go for that 188 battles.

I'm probably going to write 200 punchlines, which will suck, and then just scheme 8 lines off of all of them.

Good ethos but i reckon you'll run out of steam by 20battles ;-)

Yeah who knows. I don't really enjoy battling but at the same time, that's cause I spend ages writing and it's not really fun. If I'm writing quick verses and getting a lot of battles, it'll be fun.

188 is 6 battles a day in a 31 day month.

I'm thinking we do this in November. Make a big deal about it at the start of September or October and give people time to write. Maybe we make it a "Let's break the best top 10 records". If anything, it gives me opponents :D
