LB YouTube Cypher 2014

Alright folks. Contest is underway and you all have 10 days to get your submissions in for the first round. Just to reiterate the instructions, pretty much we're going to create a youtube video cypher compilation, then the best submission will be voted on and a winner picked. Everyone who signs up will be given the same instrumental to rap on (the one posted above). Simply visit the track's page and download it as an mp3 from there. You must rap for 30-35 seconds (about 10-12 lines) letting the instrumental play a few seconds before and after your rap verse. I'm going to mix it all together so it sounds like one continuous track and letting the beat play a little before and after your verse will help me do that more easily. All of the submissions will then be taken and mixed into video cipher compilations which will be uploaded onto our YouTube channel.CYPHER INSTRUMENTAL: Everyone who signs up and posts will receive a free 1 Month Exclusive Membership just for posting! The submissions will be grouped into different compilations that have about 6-8 submissions each (depending on how many total submissions we get). People will then vote on each group compilation and select the very best verse out of the 6-8 verses. All of the winners will then advance to a new round (which comes with its own rewards) and will be given a new beat. Due to having only 8 submissions out of 32 sign-ups, we will be extending the submission deadline until 11:59 PM on the 25th of August. That's 4 weeks from now. This will be the only extension given so please try to get your submissions in. For those of you who have already submitted, if you want to take this time to re-record and come up with something better, you may do so. |
I may take you up on that offer, I rushed my stuff for the EAK, so we'll see if something better comes out of this extra time.

Damn yo.. A whole Month extention?? I thinks thats a bit stretched!! I mean it kinda sucks for us who rushed to get it in time.. Thats the whole point of a deadline to make people hurry,
And keep it with some competitive pressure of time. Everysingle tourney has an extention on this site!! I dont know why even bother putting one, you shoul just say, we will sumbit when all or most entrys have been received. I mean i understand ur position, only 8 submitted, so pointless.. Its just disappointing to have to wait another month(obviously i got nothing else going on in LB).. I do realize i would have another 4 weeks to prep, but Honestly lost the spark for me. Im sure nobody will notice or give a fuck, but i would like to withdraw my submission from this tourney. Thanks, and best of luck with the remainder of the contest. |
I got mine last night about 12 my time, may rework with the extra time. Btw I understand your sentiment Wrek, but hope you'll reconsider and submit. The comp will be better with more participants. But I feel ya bro.
