ILLMANIA 4 - Rules & Formats

Text Battles:

All text battles will be 16 lines, with no flipping allowed. They will be hosted in the basic arena, and mods will monitor the voting throughout.

Audio Battles:

All audio battles will be 1 minute accapellas, with no flipping allowed. They will be hosted in the basic arena, and mods will monitor the voting throughout.

Text Tag Teams Battles:

All tag battles will be 32 lines, no flipping allowed. The two team-mates MUST contribute to at least a third of the verse.

Track Battle:

The 3 competitors will be given the same beat, and must make a song from it. The beat cannot be remixed or changed beyond the basic track techniques (Fades, mutes etc etc). The "Track Voting Panel", a panel of seven voters, will pick the best song of the three, and that track maker will be the winner.

Topical Battle:

The topical battle will be hosted in the topical arena. This battle will be a 50 Line limit battle. The battle will be image based, all three battlers having to use the same image. This will also be an anonymous battle, so the identity of the battlers will not be revealed until the battle closes. This battle will be voted on by a "Topical Voting Panel", a panel of seven voters. The topical with the most votes, wins.

Video Battle:

The three-way video battle will be hosted on the general forums. Each battler will have 3 minutes, not a second more. The content of the video is completely at the choice of the battler, intros & skits can be used but will be included into the 3 minute time limit. Any video over this limit, even 3:01, will be automatically DQ'd. This battle will be voted on by a "Video Voting Panel", a panel of seven voters. The video with the most votes, wins.

Voting Panels:

Track: RULE, TBC, TBC, TBC, TBC, TBC & TBC.
Topical: RULE, TBC, TBC, TBC, TBC, TBC & TBC.
Video: RULE, TBC, TBC, TBC, TBC, TBC & TBC.

Going to say this before anything goes down, if I've had beef with you, I wouldn't want you voting on a battle I've done in a contest. Regular battles are okay, since they're wildly unimportant.

Yeah all voting panel members will be people not apart of crews, and not recent members either. Sorry Deej.

It's not even about you being biased. Your affiliated with a crew taking part and as long as that's the case (which it will be even if you leave MM) The moment someone doesn't like your vote it's going to cause a stink and crys of biased. The tourney really doesn't need that. It'll just cause un needed stress. Rule knows all about having to deal with B.S accusations having run past Illmanias whilst being a member of a participating crew. Rule finally isn't putting himself in that position so I'm sure the last thing he wants is to remove 1 problem/excuse only to replace it with another. I can't speak for him but I'd imagine thats how anyone would feel. There's really no positive to it just a bunch of negatives.

^I'd say tthe same, but you could make like a requirement for the person to mention Illmania or some shit.
